First Look: We’re Finally Getting ‘Jurassic Park’ POP! Vinyl Toys

The toy line celebrates the 25th anniversary of an all-time great.

With Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom arriving in theaters this summer, you could say that this year is shaping up to be a great one for fans of the Jurassic Park franchise. It’s also the 25th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s magical (and terrifying) adventure film, and Funko is celebrating 25 years of JP with a wave of POP! vinyl toys.

Previewed in the below sales sheet, the Jurassic Park POP! vinyl wave, a first for the film, will include three different dinos: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor and Dilophosaurus. The latter toy will include a chase variant, not yet revealed. Human characters Dennis Nedry, Dr. Alan Grant, John Hammond and Dr. Ian Malcolm are also in the line.

Last but not least, Dr. Ellie Sattler will be getting a POP! Rides toy, in the JP jeep!

      • meowmeowkazoo

Dude, why are you so salty about these?

        • DJ sTikInsEkT

i duno what salty is? some new hip word? i never heard that used before. and what? maybe u read it wrong? im just pointing out they arent toys? how is that ‘salty’? they are statues for display

          • meowmeowkazoo

It’s been around for a few years. It means you’re “bitter.” You’re basically telling everyone not to buy these, why do they bother you so much?

          • DJ sTikInsEkT

ive never seen them. i just think they are waste of time. when they make a product and its original i like that. but using franchies? like lego was cool b4 they started getting greedy and hiring out licecnces like batman, indiana jones, star wars etc which ended up being 98% where the money is coming from the licences. i wish they just stuck to original designs just freddy funko designs. i cant stand these liscences from companies to get rich fast coz they get so many variants that collectors then have to go out and get them all and they know that so they keep making more they also do like comic con or shop exclusives so those fans need dig around all over ebay to find the more expensive items they do it on purpose to give it bigger value and its a big money game

          • captaintrips

I don’t personally get how funko got so popular. And I don’t really care for them as figures or collectibles, but I will never try and dissuade or trash talk fellow collectors for their interests.
The hand full of funko I have I absolutely love.

          • DJ sTikInsEkT

its same as that kid robot thing the point of it is to make variants apon variants coz they take something like simpsons with 4000 cast of characters both one time wonders and long time and all the different shirts, masks, and costumes homer has worn over years kaaching! fans will buy one then wont be able stop. its perfect. variants make you rich. keep pumping out the variants

          • DJ sTikInsEkT

also not into these new meme generation words. i grew up in the 80s and not buying into these new ‘salty’ ‘triggered’ iphone generation words. not part of my vocab

          • Eric Braun

Salty literally goes back to the 30’s for it’s first usage, even the version used today has been common place since the late 90’s.

          • DJ sTikInsEkT

never seen it used in SA.

      • Cerbian Kamarote

Really, if you don’t like them just don’t buy them.

        • DJ sTikInsEkT

huh? im saying they arent toys… they arent toys.. toys r things kids play with these are display statues.. idiot.

      • Eric Braun

Weird… My youngest 2 sure enjoy playing with me collection, and I enjoy letting them as it got them more into superheroes.

        • DJ sTikInsEkT

but they dont bend or articulate they just stiff? and they break easy right? also if a fat greasy brony nerd saw ur kid playting with them he’d freak out lol coz they collectors items

          • Eric Braun

The marvel ones are bobble heads and it’s possible to pull the head off, but that hasn’t even happened and my kids are not gentle. They don’t need to bend, half of their normal toys don’t.
As for a brony… Not my problem. If I buy something I’m getting full use out of it.

  • Dead2009

Hyped for these. Will probably buy them all.

I don’t generally care for Funko Pop, but how can I resist a T-rex?

    • DJ sTikInsEkT

there is screen accurate trex toys from the movie

  • Smokescreen85

    The T-Rex will be mine!

    • DJ sTikInsEkT

      stop making them more rich

      • Cerbian Kamarote

Go find something to do and let people enjoy things.

  • lupe
