Filming Begins on Hulu’s Stephen King Series “Castle Rock”

The Greenfield Recorder shares some behind-the-scenes shots from the now-filming set of Hulu’s Stephen King series “Castle Rock”.

“Castle Rock” is described as a psychological-horror drama set in the Stephen King multiverse that combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine, has served as the setting for many of King’s books, including “Cujo,” “The Dead Zone,” and “The Body.”

Bill Skarsgård, who stars in New Line Cinema’s It remake as the new Pennywise, recently joined the King-created universe.  In “Castle Rock,” Skarsgård will play a young man with an unusual legal problem and joins a cast that includes Carrie‘s Sissy Spacek, André Holland, Evil Dead‘s Jane Levy and Melanie Lynskey.

The series landed a 10-episode order.

I really hope this is good. Spectacular cast with King vets such as Bill and Sissy- count me in. The good thing about it is this isn’t based on one exact story so that leave them open to do what they want without fucking things up too badly unlike most King adaptations.

Anyone checked out Mr. Mercedes yet?

Well where I live it only comes on tonight at 8pm. I have it set to record so I hope it’s good.

The cast is indeed spectacular so far, with some good writting this show can go far.

I hope it’s better than that pile of shit ‘The Mist’! I’m sorry but that’s failing so badly it’s not even funny. IMO

      I like The Mist.
But then again, my taste is questionable to most.

I wanted to like it, I tried to like it, I got through the 4th episode and that was enough. To be fair I’ll wait until the season is through and pick a Saturday and binge watch it, maybe/hopefully a second time around might give me another perspective. It bothers me because I knew going in that it wasn’t like the 2007 movie (loved it) and kept an open mind and nope!

Your taste is your taste and not anyone else’s! I know I don’t have to tell you that, I just felt like it I guess.

I’m thinking of watching it all in one go as well.
Honestly wasn’t that impressed by the first episode, but I’ll give the series a go when it’s done.

LOL I like the Mist too. Great computer game back in the day, for the time it was released. 😉 Never even heard of this new Mist by King.
