IM Global and independent U.K. games developer and publisher Rebellion are currently developing “Judge Dredd: Mega-City One,“ a live action TV series that should make up for the fact that we’re probably never getting a sequel to the kickass 2012 film.
Karl Urban may even have a role in the series!
It’ll likely be a while before the series arrives but it does seem that pre-production is well underway. IGN just got their hands on two pieces of concept art from artist Jack Eaves, one titled “Democracy March” and the other “Lowlife Arrival.”
They’re our first teases of the futuristic world the series will take us to.
Initial reports peg the series as set in a future where the East Coast of the U.S. has become a crime-ridden megalopolis. The ensemble drama will follow a team of Judges — futuristic cops invested with the power to be judge, jury, and executioner — as they deal with the challenges the future-shocked 22nd century throws at them.
