CW is teaming with “Stranger Things” executive producer Shawn Levy to develop the drama “Epiphany”, reports THR.
The project, which has received a script commitment, is described as being in the vein of the works of Stanley Kubrick and Agatha Christie:
The drama is a psychological thriller about a group of gifted strangers recruited to a Gilded Age mansion to solve a complex code that lies within the structure’s walls.
“We’ll explore complexity and challenging character journeys, but it’s never going to be nihilistic.” says Levy,
Spenser Cohen is set to pen the script and executive produce alongside Levy and his 21 Laps banner. Anna Halberg, Cohen’s producing partner, will also be credited as an exec producer. Lee Toland Krieger (The Age of Adaline, The CW’s Life Sentence, Lifetime’s You) will exec produce and, should the drama move forward, direct the pilot for Warner Bros. Television. Emily Morris and Dan Cohen will oversee for 21 Laps.
