Ash Embraces Being a Local Hero in New “Ash vs. Evil Dead” Season 3 Image

Ash became the hometown hero he was always destined to be at the end of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” Season 2, and you better believe he’s celebrating that fame in Season 3.

TV Insider got their hands on a new image from the forthcoming third season this week, giving us a taste of where Ash is at in life when we pick back up with him next year.

Ash—like any shallow person—is determined to cash in on his fame,” Bruce Campbell told the site. In the new image, he explains, “[Ash is] revving up the crowd at the grand opening of Ashy Slashy’s Hardware (and Sex Toy) Emporium.”

Sounds about right. Check it out below!

The third season finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long-lost daughter who’s been entrusted to his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. But evil will learn to never get in between a papa bear and his cub.

“Ash vs Evil Dead” Season Three will premiere Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 9 PM ET/PT and also be available for streaming or download on the STARZ app.

I bought season 1 for blu ray on Black Friday. Will have to wait til next Black Friday for season 2 blu ray sale. Hopefully I end up ordering Starz for season 3.

  • Creepshow

I have a feeling this season is gonna be Ash’s swan song.

  • DeadFuck

Stoked. If this is the last season, I hope it has a proper ending, rather than a cliffhanger. I know lots of people love the alternate endings of Army of Darkness, but the theatrical ending was the best. It left Ash in a good place and was a great send off. I’d be fine with this being the last season, if we get a satisfying ending.

  • John Connor

Hopefully this series lasts as long as Bruce Campbell can handle it.
They can end the current story and explore alternate timelines.
I want an Ash & Xena Vs. Evil Dead with Autolycus, Ruby, Gabrielle, and Joxer.

    • Saturn

It would be cool if they use the time travel aspect and have Ash go back to the time of Xena – it would be fun to have Ash mistake Xena as Ruby, and Xena mistake Ash as Autolycus.
The rights issue may be a mess though if we take other examples of Raimi’s work into account.
But still, it could be fun, if done right.

I read the original 2 Ash/Xena cross-overs, but not got around to the more recent one yet – I have to change that.

      • John Connor

It would be cool to have each season be a dream project.

Ash Vs Chucky (with Don Mancini as headwriter/showrunner for that season).

        Ash Vs Freddy Vs Jason

Ash Vs The Tall Man (Phantasm) would work if Angus were still alive.

Have a unique look/style to each season.
They would garner huge numbers and hoopla/anticipation.

I can definitely picture the Xena crossover though, it’s just too perfect.

        • DeadFuck

          I’d rather they not

  • Hopefully this will be the last season and work on a movie directed by Sam himself will commence. One more for the gipper! AVED was a nice addition, like a cartoon or comic book version of ED, but ED deserves a better end than this. One last time on the Sam o Cam horror go round is needed to give ED the dignified send off it, and we, deserve.
