As reboots of ’90s TV series’ like “Full House,” “Roseanne” and “The X-Files” start to become the norm, we’ve got a feeling there’s a pretty good chance that “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” will eventually find its way back on the small screen. After all, there have been talks about a reboot for many years, and now seems like the time to strike.
As it turns out, Fox chairman Gary Newman agrees, and at this point in time he’s just waiting on creator Joss Whedon to decide that the time is right for a reboot.
“[Buffy] is probably the most ripe show we have for bringing back,” Newman said today at the INTV conference in Jerusalem, Deadline tells us. “It’s something we talk about frequently. Joss Whedon is one of the greatest creators we’ve ever worked for.”
Newman added, “When Joss decides it’s time, we’ll do it.”
“Buffy” just turned 21 over the weekend.
