Matt Ryan is Back as John Constantine for “Legends of Tomorrow” Regular Role!

Published

After just one season, NBC cancelled the TV series “Constantine” back in 2015, which starred Matt Ryan as the British exorcist and occult detective once played on the big screen by Keanu Reeves. As we recently told you, Ryan is voicing the character in an upcoming web-series for CW Seed, and he’s also reprising the role in live action.

Deadline reports today that Matt Ryan’s John Constantine is permanently joining “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” as a series regular in its upcoming fourth season!

The site notes, however, “Ryan’s promotion from a recurring to a series regular is contingent on a Season 4 renewal for Legends. The CW is yet to make renewals for next season but Legends — as well as the rest of the network’s DC series — is fully expected to come back.”

Ryan has recently played Constantine in one episode of “Arrow,” as well as three episodes of “Legends of Tomorrow.” He’ll appear on another “Legends” episode next month.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
