The rumor surfaced a couple weeks back that the upcoming eighth season of FX’s hit horror series would be titled “American Horror Story: Radioactive,“ a rumor that Ryan Murphy subsequently refrained from confirming or denying. The rumor stemmed from Twentieth Century Fox recently filing a trademark for that very title.
What we do know for sure, as confirmed by Murphy, is that Season 8 will be set in the near future, and a new rumor this week reveals more potential details about the story.
As reported by AHS Central, the rumor is that “AHS: Radioactive” takes place in Arizona in 2032, after a nuclear blast. The rumor also suggests that Dylan McDermott, Denis O’Hare, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Grossman and Eddie Cibran will star, alongside already confirmed stars Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates.
“The season is centered around a group of survivors who went unaffected by it,” the scoop notes, coming from a source whose husband is working on the show’s marketing.
Again, all that is 100% confirmed about Season 8 is that Peters, Paulson and Bates are on board, and that it will be set sometime in the near future.
