“Festive Surprise 2017” Brings Free Krampus Mask into ‘Grand Theft Auto V’

Published

on

Unleashed this week, Grand Theft Auto V‘s annual “Festive Surprise” update brings a whole lot of holiday spirit into the game, most notably in the form of snow that blankets the entirety of Los Santos. You’re even able to pick up snowballs, add them to your inventory and then hurl them at unsuspecting citizens like (mostly harmless) bombs!

Rockstar teases the update, now available until January 1st…

“The stench of spiked egg nog stained on your Clubhouse floor and drunken Santas stumbling down Vinewood Boulevard can only signify one thing: the Festive Surprise 2017 Event has hit Los Santos and Blaine County. With Weazel News’ crack team of weathermen already calling for a frosty forecast this coming weekend, new festive gear along with all of your old favorites return to the shops of Southern San Andreas. Send sparks through the night with the Firework Launcher as you stomp through a crimson-coated winter wonderland in your favorite Elf mask, pay a visit to your favorite 247 Supermarket in a Mirthful Gingerbread Hockey mask or show your head-to-toe spirit in a festive albeit slightly creepy Reindeer Bodysuit.”

Plus keep an eye out for a few free unlocks in the coming days including new Krampus masks gifts starting on Christmas Eve. Because in this town, only the naughty get their stockings stuffed.

The “Heinous Krampus Mask” will be available free to all players on December 24!

From what we gather, this is what the Krampus mask will look like…

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

‘Dead Island 2’ Arrives on Steam With Hefty Discount [Trailer]

The wait is over for Steam users looking to stomp around Los Angeles busting zombie heads in Deep Silver and Dambuster’s Dead Island 2. The multimillion-selling follow-up to the 2011 original is now available on Steam, as well as the title’s two DLCs, including the recently-released “SoLA”. Deep Silver has marked the occasion with a new launch trailer.

In fact, Deep Silver has sweetened the deal with a 50% off sale for Dead Island 2 on Steam that’s on until April 29. That sale also applies to the title’s expansion packs and DLCs.

Just in case you missed it the first time around, Dead Island 2 centres around a deadly virus that’s spreading across Los Angeles, turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. The city is in quarantine and the military have retreated. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, you learn to harness the zombie inside of you.

Known as Slayers, you (and if you choose, up to three players in co-op mode) must embark on an epic pulp journey across a plethora of well-known locations such as Beverly Hills, Venice Beach and Santa Monica to uncover the truth behind the outbreak and who or what they are turned into.

Dead Island 2 is also available on PC via the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
