[Video] There’s Now a Woodchipper Kill in ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ and It’s Glorious

Jason goes full Fargo in the game’s latest update.

Last week, Friday the 13th: The Game‘s new update went live, and it’s a pretty epic one. In addition to a new counselor, Single Player Challenges are now part of the game, playing out like mini slasher movies that you get to control; pre-set objectives are built into 10 different playable storylines for the brand new Single Player Challenges.

One of the coolest things about the Single Player Challenges is that they have brand new kills built into them, which are exclusively part of the new mode. Those kills involve new environments as well as new weapons, and some of them even allow you to recreate iconic moments from the movies. Others, well, they’re brand new for the game.

In Challenge #4 (“Stargazer”), for example, there’s a Hidden Objective titled “The Showalter,” named after Steve Buscemi’s character in Fargo. The challenge is to literally feed Kenny into a yellow woodchipper that’s been added to the Higgins Haven map; to do so, you turn on the chipper and wait for Kenny to walk over to it, at which point you’re able to hit the X button when he’s near it and force him headfirst into the blades.

It’s hands down one of the game’s coolest kills to date…
