Releasing around the same time as last year’s You’re Next, Lionsgate is committing to their August 29 release of Jessabelle, their new haunter from Saw VI director Kevin Greutert.
The trailer premiered this morning and looks like a cross between The Haunting in Connecticut and The Serpent and the Rainbow. The scary in-house stuff doesn’t look all that interesting to me, what does, though, is all of the voodoo shenanigans. I adore voodoo horror.
“Returning to her childhood home in Louisiana to recuperate from a horrific car accident, Jessabelle (Sarah Snook) comes face to face with a long-tormented spirit that has been seeking her return — and has no intention of letting her escape.”
Sarah Snook, Mark Webber, Joelle Carter, Ana De La Reguera and Amber Stevens star.
