‘As Above, So Below’ Trailer Discovers the Gateway to Hell!

Early this morning we revealed that the filmmakers behind The Poughkeepsie Tapes, Quarantine and Devils are heading to the terrifying catacombs deep below Paris.

Now, we have the first official trailer for Universal and Legendary Pictures’s As Above, So Below, an upcoming found-footage thriller film directed by John Erick Dowdle that he co-wrote with his brother Drew. It will be shared with the world on August 15.

Miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the dark secret that lies within this city of the dead. A journey into madness and terror, “As Above, So Below” reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.

It’s going to be religious-themed and tie into Hermeticism, which you can read all about here. In it, they discover the gateway to Hell…

Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman and Edwin Hodge star.

I love the concept, but I am sooooo bored of found footage that it has already made me lose enough interest in it that I’ll pass until I can stream it on something like Netflix

  • ThunderDragoon

That looks so awesome! Holy crap, I hope it’s good. It has so much potential.

As Event Horizon, So This Film… just not in space. Ok, the cinematography and acting appear sound. But GODDAMMIT, I have literally reached the breaking point with found footage films.
