[Video Review] ‘The Quiet Ones’ Spits Out a By the Number Horror Flick

Oh, the irony of a title.

It’s been quite awhile since we’ve heard from our video reviewer, Don Allen (@ItsDonAllen), who is back to whisper about Lionsgate’s The Quiet Ones, now in theaters everywhere.

While Evan Dickson ravaged the Hammer-produced horror this morning, Mr. Allen isn’t as harsh, although he definitely doesn’t recommend the John Pogue-directed haunter “based on true events”.

Check out his video review below.

In the pic, “A university student (Claflin) and some classmates are recruited to carry out a private experiment — to create a poltergeist. Their subject: an alluring, but dangerously disturbed young woman (Cooke). Their quest: to explore the dark energy that her damaged psyche might manifest. As the experiment unravels along with their sanity, the rogue PHD students are soon confronted with a terrifying reality: they have triggered an unspeakable force with a power beyond all explanation.
