This ‘Godzilla’ Trailer Gave Me Goosebumps!

Published

It’s been forever since a trailer felt this large!

Legendary and Warner Bros. just dropped a proverbial bomb Monday morning in yet another Godzilla trailer. While I’m worn out with all of the images, spots and trailers, they have somehow found a way to reinvigorate me. I’m sitting here with a full sheet of goosebumps jonesing for May 16 to arrive.

Watch as Godzilla’s nemesis is unearthed. Watch as another swoops into battle. Watch as the Lizard King stomps to the rescue.

I can’t even begin to wrap my head around what the arc is, or how the story will be told – other than through the eyes of windower Bryan Cranston – but what I do know is that Gareth Edwards appears to have directed the living shit out of the monstrous summer blockbuster.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
