If You Weren’t Excited for ‘Hellraid’ Before, You May Be Now

Dead Island developer Techland’s dark fantasy monster bash ’em up Hellraid, which is looking more and more like a more horrific Skyrim, has made the transition to current gen consoles.

Now that Hellraid has nixed support for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and transitioned into their gorgeous Chrome 6 engine — the same proprietary engine that powers Dying Light — Techland is free to blow our minds with a stunning, and sufficiently gory, game that I’m officially very excited to get my hands on.

Hellraid releases on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2015.

    This looks incredible, can’t wait.

I remain very skeptical. As a developer Techland is always extremely sloppy and every iteration of the Chrome Engine has been a god awful mess with physics, sound and rendering issues across the board.

    • One thing TEchnland did excellent – and that was the sound design of the creatures!

  • Weresmurf

Looks nice, but it’s still moving and playing exactly like Dead Island…

I guess they forgot that Painkiller already exists!

  • Amazing! And I was wondering what happened with the game! PS4?? Yes! But it has been in development since 2012 no? They are taking their time with this one!
