‘Don’t Look In the Basement 2’ Was Filmed, Gets a Trailer

Don't Look in the Basement 2
Sam is coming home.

Here’s the first trailer for Don’t Look In the Basement 2, the 40 year sequel to S.F. Brownrigg’s cult classic.

“The pic will pick up the story of Sam after the end of the first film, 40 years later. After Sam is moved to a new asylum in 2013, strange things begin happening there to the patients as well as the doctors. One doctor must find out what’s causing everyone go delve even deeper into insanity before it overcomes him as well.”

Directed by his son Anthony Brownrigg, and written by Brownrigg, and Megan Emerick, the film is a true sequel that completes the story that S.F. was unable to before his passing.

Starring Andrew Sensenig, Frank Mosley, Arianne Margot, Willie Minor, Jr, Camilla Carr, and Megan Emerick, the film is due in the fall.

Well the original is a terrible wonderful awful film. It has it’s place in history and I cannot lie and say that I dont like it at least a little bit. Frankly it’s one of those nice guilty pleasures just because of the history and gore and the title. Not only does this trailer look pretty great considering what it is, I am very happy to give it a chance no matter what because it is the son continuing the work of the father. I’ve seen plenty of remakes or sequels that had nothing or no-one involved with or from the original. At least it’s legit. cant be as bad as some of the mainstream movies we get. I give it a “reservedly excited, fairly interested”

The original is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I first saw it at the drive-in as a kid then it would pop up on my favorite horror host show The Ghoul. I for one am excited to see a legitimate sequel.
