Avatar “Bloody Angel” Music Video Premiere

Avatar_Cover_1500px

I’m really excited to bring you this video! I’ve been digging the absolute hell out of Swedish carnival-esque metal band Avatar for the past couple of years and I’m really excited for their upcoming album Hail The Apocalypse, which comes out tomorrow (pre-order here).

In anticipation of tomorrow’s release, we’ve teamed up with the band to bring you the exclusive music video premiere for their song “Bloody Angel”! The video, directed by Johan Carlén, shows a man who seems to have the choice of life or death for people he’s never met. Meanwhile, vocalist Johannes Eckerström plays an ever watchful entity that haunts this man, who appears to be emotionally devastated by the choices he makes. It’s surreal, it’s beautifully done, and it’s something you should all check out below!

As always, an visually fascinating video to a pitch perfect song.

Album is really great! 8/10! One of the best this year, as great as Insomnium – “Shadows of the Dying Sun” but not so total-awesome like The Unguided – “Fragile Immortality”. And can’t wait new albums this year from Sonic Syndicate and Septicflesh! We have a f***ing great music year!!! (but Crematory’s “Antiserum” was a big disappointment for me)

I guess there could’ve been another cool thing at the end of the video. Johannes (as the ‘monster’) sits in that office. Somehow a little smiling. And in the last few pictures one could see Johannes stamping the file of that other guy, who normally works there. Could’ve been another ‘in-your-face-ish’-moment ^^
except for that I fucking love that video. The message is so true… the song and the video is really really well done… Love it.
