Witness the birth of fear…

In addition to our massive batch of exclusive stills, check out the official U.S. trailer for Cabin Fever: Patient Zero, which will be hitting VOD platforms June 26 and limited theaters August 1 through RLJ/Image Entertainment. For once, the trailer is in HD, which gives oyu a nice and clean look at the new film.

Directed by Altitude‘s Kaare Andrews, and starring Sean Astin, Currie Graham and Ryan Donowho, the sequel was penned by genre writer Jake Wade Wall (The Hitcher, Amusement, When a Stranger Calls).

In it, “A group of friends planned the perfect vacation in the Caribbean, but when they head ashore to explore a remote island, their ultimate bachelor weekend devolves into their worst nightmare. After an ill-fated swim in contaminated water, they stumble upon a seemingly abandoned research facility where a deadly, flesh-eating virus has been unleashed.

Saw this a few weeks ago. Some interesting stuff in it, some great gore and a scene towards the end that is equal part awesome and stupid. I rented it on DVD so it was worth that, wouldnt bother with it if its in the cinema now would buy it. Just a one time watch.

Question: Is it better than 2?

Didnt watch all of 2 as i turned it off – so way better than two. Its definitely worth watching as a rental first and then buy later when its cheaper. Was trying to think of fun parts in the movie, just remembered a scene thats a nod to the original, not saying, but very gross. lol. Yep go watch it.

I got to interview Noah Segan and the lead female (I REALLY cant remember her name now) around 4 or 5 years ago for 2. Noah was fantastic, she was nice too. But you could tell both were really straining in terms of promoting the movie positively with all the troubles it had had. However when they threw Rider Strong at me to interview, it consisted mostly of interviewing for the CF bluray and then ‘Oh yeah well I just did like one or two days shooting and that was it…’ lol. He didn’t understand everyones big deal about him coming back etc. Maybe BD had a similair experience, who knows.

I like the line one of the nurses says to the infected. ”You’re going to need a referral.” lol I didn’t find this one scary and Sean Astin’s character was all over the place imo. Still, I’d prefer another sequel than a remake of the original any day of the week

Aspect ratio is all jacked up.

This film is complete junk. Better off watching House of the Dead, at least that’s a bit of a laugh compared to this cliché snorefest!

I saw this like a month back online, it wasn’t a movie you should see if you’re looking for a serious and gory movie. It’s more of a fun and bloody film like Evil Dead. Definitely makes up for 2, and a must watch if you liked the first Cabin Fever.
