‘The Purge: Anarchy’ Is a Badass Vigilante Movie!!! (Trailer)

The Purge: Anarchy'

Frank Grillo is going to help you survive the night…

I’ve gone from a cynic to major supporter of Universal Pictures’ The Purge: Anarchy, in theaters June 20th.

It always bothered me that a bunch of idiots found themselves stranded in the middle of a purge, thanks to a broken down car; it’s a stupid set up, in my opinion (why would you even risk going outside?).

A new TV Spot trailer changes the focal point and protagonist displaying Frank Grillo as an ass-kicking vigilante badass who takes to the streets to protect the innocent. Now THAT’s what I’m talking about!!!

Michael K. Williams, Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, and Keith Stanfield also star.

Returning alongside writer/director/producer James DeMonaco to produce the next chapter of the thriller are Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious), alongside Sébastien K. Lemercier (Assault on Precinct 13, Four Lovers) and Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay (Pain & Gain, Transformers), Brad Fuller (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th) and Andrew Form (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, The Amityville Horror, A Nightmare on Elm Street).

I really hope this blows out of the water every single new crappy little glam dystopia movie they’ve been making lately.

WOW! this really does looks very good. i was already interested in the movie because of Frank Grillo & Kiele Sanchez but i LOVE the idea of Grillo’s character trying to help innocent people. the bidding/auctioning of people to presumably kill (which reminds me of the HOSTEL movies) is an awesome, creepy addition to the film

I still am on the fence with this one….

Lest we forget how good the first Purge trailer was, and we all know how that turned out.

I’m very excited for this. I hope it’s as good as it looks.

  • Werewolf

I’m on board. I’m a sucker for a badass vigilante film.

The first was a disappointment and a little silly but this one looks a lot better.

The idea of “the purge” is awesome. The first one was a typical studio movie- noncontroversial and predictable. Terribly predictable. I was so dissapointed. Ill likely see this one but I fear itll be the same thing- great marketing and the movie will suck
