‘Come Back to Me’ a Suburban Nightmare? (Trailer)

Get ready for another suburban haunt in the quasi-found-footage Come Back to Me, which now has a trailer.

The film revolves around a young woman (Katie Walder) who suffers memory lapses and blackouts after a car accident. She then learns she is pregnant but her husband (Matt Passmore) is infertile, which leads her to set up a security camera in their bedroom.

The trailer shows the found-footage angle comes when security camera are installed – and oddly enough, the trailer also spoils(?) the film’s twist?

Come Back to Me is the feature writing and directing debut for Paul Leyden and will be released in limited theaters and on all digital platforms on July 25.

Freestyle Releasing and Freestyle Digital Media are handling distribution, which means… ehhhhh. Just watch the trailer and see for yourself.

That just looks STAGGERINGLY lame. And yeah…it seems like they kinda completely gave away the entire plot. Doesn’t seem like found footage though.

  • The plot sounds extremely close to the novel The Resurrectionist by Wrath James White. I mean REALLY close, I just finished reading it over the weekend. In fact now I’m going to need to see if it is in fact based on the very fucked-up (but great) novel. Seriously, if you watched the trailer, look up the plot summary for the book on Amazon…

Found footage this is not (thankfully), besides what appears to be some bedroom security cam stuff. The goddamn trailer seems to give the twist away, so don’t watch it.
