THR shares this first ever look from the new horror flick Lyle, which premieres July 12 at Outfest in Los Angeles.

The film follows a distraught couple as they grieve of the death of their daughter. Gaby Hoffmann (“Girls,” Obvious Child) plays Leah, a pregnant woman cut from the same cloth as Rosemary from Rosemary’s Baby. Ingrid Jungermann, Rebecca Street, Kim Allen, Michael Che and Ashlie Atkinson also star.

In the below clip, Hoffmann plays a worried partner and mother, as her daughter makes faces at a darkened door frame. “Honey, who are you talking to?” Leah asks.

She props herself up on her bed, forehead wrinkled with concern. “Lyle, stay in here.”

Lyle was written and directed by Stewart Thorndike, produced by Alex Scharfman, and is set to be the first of three upcoming female-focused horror films Thorndike has in the works.

Outfest runs July 10-20 in Los Angeles.
