‘Extraordinary Tales’: The Facts In The Case of M. Valdemar (Exclusive Clip)
Extraordinary Tales is in theaters and On Demand this Friday, October 23.
Bloody Disgusting has a look at this animated horror film from Raul Garcia, with a clip from “The Facts In The Case of M. Valdemar.”
Featuring the voices of Sir Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi, Julian Sands, Roger Corman and Guillermo del Toro, the movie offers an anthology of animated takes on some of Poe’s most iconic works: “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Pit and the Pendulum,” “The Fall of the House of Usher,” “The Facts in the Case of Mr. Valdemar,” and “The Masque of the Red Death.”
“A film anthology of five of Edgar Allen Poe’s best-known stories, each told in a unique graphic style, and featuring some of the most beloved figures in horror film history.
Each tale is given a unique animated look, inspired by sources as diverse as classic Hollywood black-and-white monster films, or the pulpy feel of EC Comics, and narrated by a stable of legendary genre directors and actors.”

A yoga influencer discovers just how flexible fear can be in Mind Body Spirit, a new found footage horror movie that Welcome Villain Films is bringing to the table in a couple weeks.
Mind Body Spirit will release on Digital outlets May 7.

In Mind Body Spirit, “Anya, an aspiring yoga influencer, embarks on a ritual practice left behind by her estranged grandmother. She documents the practice on her YouTube channel for the world to watch, allowing her audience intimate access to her journey.
“But what starts as a spiritual self-help guide evolves into something much more sinister. As Anya becomes obsessed with the mysterious power of the practice, she unwittingly unleashes an otherworldly entity that begins to take control of her life – and her videos. Now Anya must race to unlock the truth, before her descent into madness threatens to consume her mind, body and spirit. By the time she reveals the true nature of the ritual, will it be too late?”
Mind Body Spirit was written and directed by Alex Henes & Matthew Merenda.
The upcoming horror film stars Sarah J. Bartholomew, Madi Bready, KJ Flahive, Anna Knigge, and Kristi Noory, and was produced by Dan Asma and Jesse McClung.
