[Trailer] ‘The Kane Hodder Story’ Digs Deep into the Life of a Horror Icon
“I’ve murdered more people on film than any actor in history.”
Kane Hodder may often play a monster on screen, but if you’ve ever met him, you know that he’s one of the nicest guys on the horror scene. The legendary actor/stuntman’s life and career will be explored in Masterfully Macabre’s upcoming documentary To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story, premiering at FrightFest later this month.
Ahead of the premiere, the official theatrical trailer has been released.
The in-depth documentary includes interviews with Kane Hodder, Bruce Campbell, Bill Moseley, Cassandra Peterson, Sid Haig and Danielle Harris, to name just a few.
“To Hell and Back is a harrowing story of a stuntman overcoming a dehumanizing childhood filled with torment and bullying in Sparks, Nevada. After surviving a near-death burn accident, he worked his way up through Hollywood, leading to his ultimate rise as Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th series and making countless moviegoers forever terrified of hockey masks and summer camp.”

The FrightFest premiere takes place August 26th in London, England.
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
