[Trailer] ‘Rabbit’ Evokes the Spirit of ’70s Psychological Horror

Published

on

No twin is identical.

Playing next weekend at Fantastic Fest, Rabbit marks the feature debut of one of Australia’s leading new filmmakers, writer/director Luke Shanahan. The well-reviewed psychological thriller is described as “an intense and unusual portrait of the psychic connection between twins, as viewed through a science fiction lens.

We’re pretty sure this one is going to mess with your mind. Find the trailer below.

Rabbit is a throwback to the classic psychological 70’s horror genre and a tale of searching for one’s lost identical twin, as our lead Maude endures both psychological and physical terror in pursuit of her missing sister. Employing psychedelic visuals and a mind-bending soundscape, it puts a fresh twist on the classic horror trope of twin sisters – with a psychic connection – in distress.”

Adelaide Clemens stars alongside Alex Russell, Jonny Pasvolsky and Veerle Baetens.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
