Teased in the post-credits scene for Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters will feature a host of giant monsters: not just the titular King himself, but also Mothra, Rodan, and G’s ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah!
The Michael Dougherty-directed film promises to be pretty epic, with star O’Shea Jackson Jr. recently teasing that we’ll “never forget” the final battle between Godzilla and King Ghidorah. We’ll have to wait until March 22, 2019 to see all the monster mayhem, which means it may be a while before we even see a teaser for this one.
To hold us over, YouTuber Stryder HD cut together his own concept trailer for King of the Monsters, using clips from Godzilla 2014, Godzilla: Final Wars and Kong: Skull Island to imagine how insanely awesome the 2019 film could end up being. Here’s hoping!
In King of the Monsters…
“When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”
Zhang Ziyi, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Bradley Whitford, Ken Watanabe, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance and Aisha Hinds star.
Dougherty directed from a script he wrote with Zach Shields.
