It seems like every few months we get an update (but not really) on a potential sequel to Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, with the most recent one coming along about six months ago. Last we heard, Warner Bros. is still developing Beetlejuice 2, hiring Mike Vukadinovich to rewrite a script originally penned, years ago, by Seth Grahame-Smith.
Also last we heard, all the major players had expressed interest in coming back, including Burton, Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. And yet, it’s still nowhere in sight.
We may never actually see Michael Keaton back on screen in a new Beetlejuice adventure, but fan Tommy Ross took it upon himself this week to imagine that a teaser trailer just hit for the nonexistent Beetlejuice 2. Like all fan trailers, Ross used clips from other movies to convey what he was going for, and it’s pretty well done overall.
Someday. Maybe someday.
