Poll: Bloody Disgusting on Twitch – Yay or Nay?

So, Twitch is pretty popular, right? Everyone seems to be using it, and that number will only continue to grow now that it’s made its way to the Xbox One and PS4. If you read this section often, you’re probably already familiar with our YouTube channel. I took it over almost exactly a year ago and the reception has been fantastic. Apparently, you lovely folks like watching me — and a few other talented souls — play horror games, and I appreciate that.

This leads me to my question: on a scale of yes to no, how interested are you in a Bloody Disgusting Twitch channel? It’d be a lot like what I do on YouTube already, only it’d be live so you can chat with me, and whoever else is streaming, in real-time.

I’ve been considering doing this for a few months now — I even made a channel — but before I make a decision either way I wanted to try and gauge your interest in something like this.

If you’re a fan of our YouTube channel and are at all worried that Twitch would mean less videos on YouTube, it won’t. If anything, it’ll mean more content on the channel. If you miss the livestream on Twitch, I’ll post edited down “highlight” videos of each stream.

I want to be able to chat during the videos!

      It could be fun, right?

    WTF is Twitch…

    • Adam Dodd

Twitch is a site where you can stream live playthroughs of games for people to watch and chat about in real-time. If I decide to host a Bloody Disgusting Twitch channel, it’d be live streams of horror games for you all to watch and chat about while I play them. It’s a bit more dynamic, since you’re not just watching a recorded video.

Or if you’re being sarcastic, ignore this comment.

      • Are you going to keep the videos up after they are over? I wouldn’t mind if they are unedited and over three hours long. As long as I don’t miss out on the action.

  • Jake W.

    Do it!

  • GoreFiend

Hell yeah dude!! I was thinking of this for a few days now and how effective it would be if you did move to Twitch.

    I say do it.

  • ThunderDragoon

That would be so awesome. 😀

  • Jonny_anonymous

    Sure, that sounds cool.

  • Gabriel Zero

I would like it if you posted your live videos in the past videos section. So you could keep a catalog for those who miss your live streams when they are live. It would suck for those of us who don’t get the chance to see you while you are live streaming. I hate the channels that make you pay money for watching old streams that have past.

    • Adam Dodd

Definitely. My plan would be to post edited down highlight videos on YouTube after the stream has ended, and the full videos will be available in our Twitch archive.

    • Eldritch Love

I didn’t even know any video-streaming would dare to ask you to pay (outside of draining you with ads, of course) for old content. Anyway, I’ve enjoyed your videos so if the new format works, go for it.
