Warner Bros.’ The Meg dwarfs Steven Spielberg’s Jaws in size. The prehistoric shark is massive in the Jon Turteltaub-directed film that just got a trailer.  There’s a ton of footage that shows the enormous shark swimming around and attacking, but nothing gives it scale like this new poster. The first one-sheet was absolutely stunning, showing Meg diving under a couple dozen swimmers. The new one displays a diver being pursued by a shark that looks a lot like Jaws, which is being tailed by Meg, who is so large that only a massive mandible is in frame.

The Meg will swim into theaters on August 10, 2018.

“A deep-sea submersible—part of an international undersea observation program—has been attacked by a massive creature, previously thought to be extinct, and now lies disabled at the bottom of the deepest trench in the Pacific…with its crew trapped inside.
