New Trailer: ‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’ Coming to Theaters and Home Streaming September 1st!

What the world probably needs right about now is a brand new Bill & Ted movie, and we’re getting precisely that this September with the release of Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Announced today with an excellent new trailer that takes us to Hell and reunites us with Death, the sequel will hit both theaters and home VOD on September 1, 2020!

Orion had originally been set to release the film only in theaters in August.

Keanu ReevesAlex Winter and William Sadler are all back, alongside Ready or Not‘s Samara Weaving as Thea Preston and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Billie Logan.

Here’s the official synopsis:

The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

The cast for the upcoming third film also includes Jillian Bell, Jayma Mays, Anthony Carrigan, Kristen Schaal, Erinn Hayes, Holland Taylor, Amy Stoch and Kid Cudi.

Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) directed the film from a screenplay by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Check out the new official trailer below!

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
