Bloody Disgusting and Cinedigm Launching Free Horror Streaming Channel on The Roku Channel!

Horror is more than just movies to many of us hardcore fans. It’s a lifestyle. Bloody Disgusting has always been a celebration of all things horror – we live and breathe it; we not only watch the movies, but we wear the clothing, eat the horror-themed cereals, buy the toys, devote our bodies in the form of tattoos, and even name our pets and children after our favorite horror icons. Most importantly, Halloweentime is everything.

This fall, we are insanely excited to take Bloody Disgusting streaming with our very own channel launching for free on The Roku Channel* beginning Tues. September 29th.

Cinedigm is behind Bloody Disgusting TV, which features not only a mix of horror classics and contemporary cult favorites, but also a mass of original programming. New programming from Jon Grilz’ Creepy, Bloody Disgusting’s Boo Crew, SCP Archives, Horror Queers and This Week in Horror will also debut on the network this October with special trick-or-treat events planned for Halloween.

Cinedigm will also provide content from its catalog which includes hundreds of popular horror titles like The Collector, Day of the Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, Re-Animator, and Tales from the Crypt to foreign favorites such as Audition, Ringu, World of Kanako and Tenebrae.

The channel’s goal is to reflect the programming and curatorial sensibilities of Bloody Disgusting and the technology and distribution capabilities of Cinedigm.

“Partnering with Cinedigm gives us the opportunity to expand the Bloody Disgusting brand and deliver a variety of exciting original video content,” said Tom Owen, President of Bloody Disgusting. “We have been working to create something really special that we think fans of the genre are going to love. Our entire team is thrilled to be launching exclusively on The Roku Channel and being able to celebrate Halloween with horror fans everywhere on their platform.“

We’re really proud of this unique experiment that we hope is different than anything you’ve ever experienced.

Grab your favorite snacks and let Bloody Disgusting entertain you this Halloween season!

If you want to watch a fun movie, watch a Ryuhei Kitamura movie. Whether it’s 2000’s Versus, 2004’s Godzilla: Final Wars, 2008’s The Midnight Meat Train or 2022’s underseen The Price We Pay, Kitamura always knows how to deliver a wild and crazy good time.

Up next from Ryuhei Kitamura? Deadline reports that he’ll be directing Thrill Ride, which sounds a bit like the best parts of Final Destination 3… expanded into a feature film!

Deadline details, “the English-language film will tell the story of a group of people, including two young women, who are trapped upside down on a roller coaster taken over by a mysterious saboteur threatening to drop them all one-by-one to their deaths.”

Film Bridge International is launching the project for sales ahead of the Cannes market.

Chad Law and Christopher Jolley wrote the screenplay.

Thrill Ride is exactly the type of high-concept based thriller that our customers are looking for in the marketplace,” said Film Bridge’s Ellen Wander and Jordan Dykstra. “With Ryuhei at the helm, we know his vision and execution will deliver thrills of the highest quality.”

“As a hardcore rollercoaster fan since I was young, I immediately fell in love with this script filled with suspense, action, crazy ups and downs, turns, loops, and corkscrews at maximum speed,” adds Kitamura. “I can’t wait to get on a ride and bring life to the wildest rollercoaster imaginable.”

We’re already seated. Stay tuned for more on Thrill Ride as we learn it.
