‘Terrifier 2’ – Several Fans Have Reportedly Fainted and Vomited During Theatrical Showings?!

'Terrifier 2' Teaser - No More Clowning Around, the Trailer Arrives Tomorrow! [Video]

All of us here at Bloody Disgusting were thrilled to be able to bring Damien Leone‘s insane slasher epic Terrifier 2 to the big screen over the weekend, unleashing the fully UNCUT and UNCOMPROMISED sequel into 850+ theaters across the United States beginning on Thursday night. We’re thrilled to report that horror fans showed up to support our bonkers little box office experiment, with Terrifier 2 scaring up over $1 million between Thursday night and Sunday night. The primary goal from the entire Bloody Disgusting and Cinedigm team was to do justice to what Damien Leone and his team created, getting it in front of as many eyeballs as possible. We did our part and you did yours, and we cannot thank all of you enough.

Seeing Terrifier 2 on the big screen with a passionate audience is an experience I personally will never forget, particularly because it’s the kind of horror movie that just doesn’t really exist anymore. And when it does, it’s certainly not playing across the country in its fully uncut form. The hope? To deliver a theatrical experience that could truly be deemed “bloody disgusting.”

On that note, it sounds like our mission was accomplished…

'Terrifier 2' Hype Trailer - "Art the Clown Is Like a New Horror Icon"!

Several tweets came across our feeds over the course of the weekend from fans reporting other audience members fainting and even vomiting during Terrifier 2, and while we’ll probably be accused of setting this all up ahead of time as a clever The Exorcist-inspired marketing play, believe me when I say these are genuine tweets and – we assume – genuine reports.

For starters, Andrew Liming (@ratshirtbastard) tweeted last night, “Watching #Terrifier2 my friend just threw up and then passed out. I’ve counted five walk outs so far. I’m loving it.”

Andrew adds in a follow-up tweet that the theater called an ambulance in the wake of his friend passing out, and even includes a photo of the EMTs attending to his friend.

Bark (@Bark_4KT) tweets, “[Terrifier 2] was an amazing gory mess. The guy behind me passed out cold n crashed into my chair, another guy left because he didn’t feel good, I overheard him say and walking out theatre door I heard a guy puking hard & loud in the bathroom.”

Movie Guy (@MovieGuy919) similarly reports, “Holy shit! #Terrifier2 was fantastic! Definitely not for the weak stomachs! Someone actually fainted during my screening of this movie.”

We cannot confirm the veracity of these reports, but it would seem some audience members are indeed finding Art the Clown’s latest exploits a bit hard to stomach. And we can’t really say we’re surprised, as Terrifier 2 is home to some of the most protracted sequences of practical effects gore we have honestly ever seen up on the big screen. Leone’s gore effects are so top notch that it’s not hard to imagine anyone losing their lunch during those sequences. This one, to say the least, is made BY gore-hounds, and specifically FOR gore-hounds as well.

You can’t say we didn’t warn you…

Terrifier 2 is currently still playing in theaters across the country, so make sure to grab your tickets now so you don’t miss your chance to see this slasher madness on the big screen!

Once again, you can head on over to www.Terrifier2TheMovie.com for current listings or check Fandango or your local theater chain to get Terrifier 2 tickets near you RIGHT NOW.

Terrifier 2 has Art the Clown up to his old tricks once again…

Following his gruesome demise in the first film, a sinister presence has brought Art back to life to rein terror on the residents of Miles County. On Halloween night, he returns to the unassuming town and sets his sights on fresh prey: a teenage girl and her little brother, portrayed by Lauren LaVera and Elliott Fullam, respectively.
