While it’s not horror news, we all seem to keep covering it, so ready, get set, go! Shocktillyoudrop is reporting that Roel Reiné is getting in the driver’s seat for Death Race: Frankenstein Lives, the direct-to-DVD sequel to the Paul W.S. Anderson directed Death Race remake. Reiné directed Bear and The Lost Tribe, two films being sold at last month’s AFM. Scripted by Tony Giglio, newly arrived at Terminal Island, a prison for the most unredeemable of convicts, Carl ‘Luke’ Lucas must prove his mettle in a race to the death.

Co-founded Bloody Disgusting in 2001. Producer on Southbound, the V/H/S trilogy, SiREN, Under the Bed, and A Horrible Way to Die. Chicago-based. Horror, pizza and basketball connoisseur. Taco Bell daily.
