So,it takes five years for this film to come out to the U.S. and receive a measely Springtime DVD release from Lionsgate(who obviously don’t care about the horror genre[that made their company{ala New Line Cinema}] anymore),which I guess is much better than never at all(just ask the still-unreleased-to-the-America CRYING FREEMAN). I did catch this film via foreign Blu Ray and it’s predictable and mediocre as it can get,with the only surprise being Scout Taylor Compton actually giving a good performance as the short haired,tattooed Zen talking Goth chick.

Look, I have seen some garbage come out of Hollywood in regards to horror films, but this movie is definitely one of the worst in recent memory. It was AMAZINGLY horrid, to the point where I was laughing at the ineptitude that it must have taken to ruin such a great premise. Avoid this like it has VD.

I was looking forward to seeing this film for a long time. Once I finally did, I was letdown. The film is full of terrible acting, a lousy script, and a very predictable ending.

The title of this post states that the film “Takes Off” whereas it should say “Crashes and Burns Into A Fiery Mess”

Festering pile of ghost crap. Takashi Shimizu has got to free himself from this pitfall. I think that the only directors in Japan to avoid this black hole genre have been Takashi Shimizu and Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Variation is a good foothold.we don’t want 50k ghost movies ,switch it up.

This looks rather promising and intriguing. Cast is good too and the director a treat. But having been shelved for so long…..means that it would be balls? On the other hand Trick R Treat has the same treatment and it was freaking awesome.

I saw this and I’m pretty conflicted. I absolutely enjoyed the first 30-40 minutes of the film, it was extremely entertaining, interesting, and the characters were a blast. It definitely made you feel like you were in for a treat. And then the middle portion just tuned flat and the ending was abrupt and very bad. Sucks, because there was potential for an enjoyable movie hidden in there.

And no Bluray? Ouch.

Lol I already bought it on Blu-Ray from Germany on amazon, it was pricey but it was multi-region with English and I really wanted to own it.

Unfortunately it’s very cliché

It’s not that entertaining because you can guess the outcome pretty much within the fist half of the movie, so I spent the whole time hopeing it wouldn’t turn out like I thought, and sadly it did.

No creativity here unfortunately
It’s definitely taken a long time to be released for a reason

That is one groaner of a tagline. But I’m glad this is finally coming out. My expectations are pretty low considering all the retooling and delays, but I like the cast so I’m looking forward to finally checking it out.
