When Sean said “Let’s do this guys”, the whole team went back to the drawing board to shoot for AAA quality, as the licensing, for this title only, was given gratuitously. That’s quite a bit actually that we’re getting taking into account the average AAA Game can cost anywhere from 15-60 million dollars to make.

We all know that that even from part 1 on all of us pick and choose what we like and what we don’t, personally my favourite is part 3 all though depending on mood I can like The Final Chapter more. As for the cumulative cost 5.5 million is not getting us much is it.

The Delevopers have even said the stretch goals cost aren’t the actual cost of the goal. They are used to fund the next goal as well as the one currently had it’s not just X amount exactly for this goal here otherwise single player mode would only cost about 200K. Also that scant 5.5 million is the cumilative cost of added playable characters, new maps, 2 single player mode, skins, and new kills. Finally most fans I’ve talked to myself included like Friday the 13th up to part 7

Just look at what the top stretch goal is, So, So Cold! adds the liquid nitrogen head smash kill as featured in Jason X for just a scant $5,550,000 sarcasm. The thing is as the series wears on there are not many fans that actually like anything past The Final Chapter and they have already got their fill with this game single player aside. I don’t think the stretch goals are worth much bar the Savini and single player stuff.

Making a game is not easy or cheap so getting some additional kills new skins and alike isn’t a bad thing if it makes the game better. Besides that they said haven’t even done the big marketing push yet and plan on adding other merchandise to the Backerkit like T-Shirts for one the others have been kept underwraps.

It is. The only reason the Tom Savini Skin and couselor clothing packs and other DLCs are in the preorder page is because they were all content that was a reward in the Kickstarter campaign.

If only the stretch goals were anything to brag about, I wouldn’t call skins anything to be excited about. In all the games I have were you can change the characters costume I never mess about changing them, even in The Sims it’s just hassle.

It’s getting made the way the developers intended that was the finish line. Everthing else is just extra and getting 6 extra stretch goals added in is pretty nice win in my book.

Delevopers have said they will not be doing Micro transactions like we see in a lot of games today like evolve and battlefront on their Forum site for the game . The extra content from all the stretch goals reached will be what is included in the game at release.

How is it a disaster? The game has been funded and it’s already made 4 of it’s stretch goals that’s the very definition of a success. If you and others want single player just fund the game it’s only another 744K away which if 12400 preorder a 60 dollar physical copy than bam single player challenge mode achieved.

One last point I would like to make is that I would like to own this on PS4, If this game remains multiplayer I would be better getting it on Steam because at least then I wouldn’t have to pay a monthly fee to play it. Until it is outright confirmed that there will be no multiplayer any pre order will have to wait. If single player is there I will have a PS4 copy if not I may consider a Steam download.

Something else that concerns me is that on the Slasher Backer page there is a section called Digital In-Game Content(DLC), what alarms me is that all the stretch goals could be placed into this section once the game is released, obviously, this means paying extra upon release for all the content we help get into the game, that includes single player.

I will also add that $40 million opening weekend does not constitute a Kickstarter campaign in any way shape or form.

At this point I would only welcome a single player mode so we can all get along. 😀

If you read all the stretch goals you will see that single player is one of them but it needs another million to reach them. If anything at this point it would have been better to start with single player and have multi player be one of the stretch goals.

Telltale wouldn’t be bad,but I was thinking of a third person with semi ensemble cast rpg elements. I adored the hell out of Dream Warriors and what better way for an elm Street game then with a class based nightmare game. Not too much focus on Rpg,maybe like a survival horror similar to the game sweet home or RE outbreak. Be neat to have a 4 player co op and SP where you’re benefitted by keeping each other alive.

Telltale making an Elm Street game would be epic to be honest. Curious how they do with the Bat later this year.
