Video Highlights All the Abuse Michael Myers Has Taken in the ‘Halloween’ Franchise

Published

He’s been cut, chopped, broken, and burned.

Michael Myers sure has killed a lot of people throughout the course of the Halloween franchise, but along the way, he’s also absorbed a whole lot of damage himself. Take the original classic, for example. Laurie Strode poked his eyeball out with a coat hanger and stuck a knitting needle into his neck, and that was before Dr. Loomis shot him six times!

In Halloween 2, Myers was shot point blank in the head and then burnt to a crisp, and in the later installments, he got his ass kicked by everyone from Paul Rudd to Busta Rhymes. And that’s all just the tip of the iceberg. I guess the lesson learned here is that you don’t rack up such a high body count without it taking its physical toll on you, eh?

This 4-minute video compilation, titled “The Many Deaths of Michael Myers,” highlights all of the painful abuse that Myers withstood in the original Halloween franchise, and though you’ve no doubt seen all the films countless times, it’s fun to watch these scenes together. If nothing more, it should put into perspective just how tough The Shape really is.

His pain is your viewing pleasure!

In addition to Leigh Whannell’s upcoming Universal Monsters movie Wolf Man, Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel) has also joined the cast of Weapons, THR has announced tonight.

Weapons is the new horror movie from New Line Cinema and director Zach Cregger (Barbarian), with Julia Garner joining the previously announced Josh Brolin (Dune 2).

The upcoming Weapons is from writer/director Zach Cregger, who will also produce alongside his Barbarian producing team: Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures. Vertigo’s Miri Yoon also produces.

The Hollywood Reporter teases, “Plot details for Weapons are being kept holstered but it is described as a multi and inter-related story horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Magnolia, the 1999 actor-crammed showcase from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.”

Cregger was a founding member and writer for the New York comedy troupe “The Whitest Kids U’Know,” which he started while attending The School of Visual Arts. The award-winning group’s self-titled sketch comedy show ran for five seasons on IFC-TV and Fuse. He was also a series regular on Jimmy Fallon’s NBC series “Guys with Kids” and the TBS hit series “Wrecked,” and was featured in a recurring role on the NBC series “About a Boy.”

Weapons will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
