Costume Test Photo Teases ‘Wyrmwood’ Spinoff TV Series
We will soon return to the road of the dead.
I admittedly haven’t yet seen Wyrmwood, the 2015 Aussie horror flick that’s been described as George Romero meets Mad Max, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. And it’s looking like I’d better get around to watching, because a sequel television series is racing our way!
Brothers Kiah and Tristan Roach-Turner are prepping a series tentatively titled Wyrmwood TV, and over on the film’s official Facebook page they just showed off a photograph from a costume test that sees actors Bianca Bradley and Jay Gallagher back in their ass-kicking armor.
The photo’s caption, which indicates that a teaser is currently being shot, reads: “SO super-awesome to see these 2 legends in the studio again! This teaser’s gonna be BAAAAADASS!!!”
In the comments section, the page noted that the series is in the process of being written, and that it will provide us with “six hours of content instead of another 95-minutes.” It’s also mentioned that it will likely play on “a streaming platform rather than Aussie TV.” For what it’s worth (maybe nothing), the Wyrmwood TV IMDb page lists a rumored premiere date of 2019.

Visit the site to join the mysterious creatures that lurk in the Irish forest as you observe a shelter. From the time the sun sets at 7:30 PM until it rises at 5:55 AM, four strangers — played by Dakota Fanning, Georgina Campbell, Oliver Finnegan, and Olwen Fouere — can be seen trapped inside.
You’ll find several interactive items. Click on the gramophone to set the mood with some spooky music. Tap on the birdcage to hear an ominous message from the parrot inside: “I’m going out, try not to die.” Press on the TV to watch clips from a fake reality show called Lair of Love. And if you tap on the window during the daytime … they’ll tap back.
There are also Easter eggs hidden at specific times. We’ve discovered three: a disorienting shot of Fanning’s character’s car at 5:52 PM, a closer view of the captives at 11:11 PM, and a glimpse of monitors at 12:46 AM. Let us know if you find any more in the comments…
