Hitler Rides a T-rex in the Trailer for ‘Iron Sky: The Coming Race’
They promised it and now delivered on it – the official trailer for Iron Sky: The Coming Race is here and its big selling point is that a reptilian Hitler can be seen riding a motherfuckin’ T-rex. After three years of hype, Iron Sky: The Coming Race hits limited theaters on February 14th, 2018. The trailer is carried by a voice over by the great Udo Kier, who will be seen in the next Puppet Master, with Julia Dietze, Stephanie Paul, Lloyd Kaufman, Jukka Hilden, and Tom Green also starring.
Twenty years after the events of Iron Sky, the former Nazi Moonbase has become the last refuge of mankind. Earth was devastated by a nuclear war but buried deep under the wasteland lies a power that could save the last of humanity – or destroy it once and for all. The truth behind the creation of mankind will be revealed when an old enemy leads our heroes on an adventure into the Hollow Earth. To save humanity they must fight the Vril, an ancient shapeshifting reptilian race, and their army of dinosaurs.
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
