We thought we weren’t getting a new Friday the 13th this year. We thought we’d never see Kane Hodder play Jason Voorhees again. We’re happy to say we were wrong.
Tomorrow, May 26th, marks the long awaited release of Friday the 13th: The Game, which Gun Media and developer Illfonic are bringing to Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Steam as a digital download ahead of a physical release that’s coming later this year. But when will you be able to play? Well, it depends on how you’re playing.
We’ve just learned that the game will hit the following platforms at the following times:
- STEAM: 12am EST
- PS4: 8am PST
- Xbox One: 12am EST
Friday the 13th: The Game gives you the opportunity to finally be Jason Voorhees; stalk camp counselors across Crystal Lake as Jason, or assume the role of a helpless camper and attempt to survive the night. Kane Hodder performed the motion capture for Jason, Tom Savini designed the kills, and Harry Manfredini provided the music!
The game’s single-player component is expected in the Summer.
