I wondered that tbh, although I’d hardly call Alan Wake a masterpiece of gameplay – that was quite wooden/rigid when I played it and in the end I ended up enjoying it. I might give it a shot and see how it goes. Thanks for the reply.

It’s pretty rough. If you have a friend to play with and enjoy your Twin Peaks references and quirks, it can be kinda fun.

The story is actually pretty great.

Unfortunately, the game is a technical mess full of awful mechanics. The story is really good and the atmosphere is great. The actual game bit…is a trial to slog through.

Cool thanks.

Will do!

Depends on your tastes, but probably. If you’d rather watch a Let’s Play I recommend looking up the one by supergreatfriend.

The story is on the weird and wacky side, but somehow it made me care a lot about the characters and their fates.

I disagree, Deadly Premonition is suprisingly good story and gameplaywise, only low budget and unpolished.

It’s worth it. Give it a play.

Its fun, but the combination of the graphics with the cameras and the control frustrated me. I gave up after some hours.

I enjoyed it
