Matt i think the DVD is coming up in about 2 weeks (maybe 3). usually when a new movie (a dvd or blu-ray rip) come up on torrent sites, it comes up (give or take) about 2 or 3 weeks before the official dvd/br release. it just happened with this movie. so keep an eye out for it in the next couple of weeks! i hope you like it too! 🙂

I was impressed that the budget went as far as it did, which is a good accomplishment. Still, I wish that it tried to do more to make itself stand out, even if the concept is one of those “Why didn’t they do this before?” situations.

Yeah, as I said, it’s not terrible, but it’s not one that you’ll remember a month from now.

zombie flick. it’s definitely a fun, well made/well acted
zombie/Jurassic Park hybrid type of movie.

it’s not a gore-fest and what blood/gore it does have is mainly
gunshot/bullet wounds and minor-ish zombie bite wounds. it’s definitely
worth watching IMO. i gave it a 7.5 out of 10.

Given the above negatives that are mentioned, I still really want to see this film. I think I can probably live with it’s shortcomings.

Weak characters are pretty standard fare in many of these types of films, especially low budget ones. I’m in it for the zombies anyway.

Predictability is also fairly predictable in these films. If what happens is done in a fun way, I’m OK with that.

The fact that it doesn’t separate itself from other like films also isn’t a deal breaker. I’m not really sure what truly “new ground” there is to be broken in a zombie film. In the nearly 50 years since NOTLD, there have been scores and scores of zombie films released. I think the idea mill is most likely exhausted.

My bar for zombie films has been set pretty low due to the vast amount of garbage that has come out over the years. My two big expectations for making an acceptable ‘dead’ movie are decent FX, and that the film is delivered in a fun way. (Even if it’s something you’ve already seen many times before.)

Still looking forward to a U.S. theatrical or DVD release date!
