The official Halloween Horror Nights Orlando account on Twitter recently teased the return of everyone’s favorite extraterrestrial circus denizens, and today they’ve confirmed the Klowns will appear in the new scare zone Downtown Clowntown.

They won’t be alone, either.

The Killer Klowns are teaming up with Terrifier‘s Art the Clown along with other clownfolk to terrorize guests.

The description for Downtown Clowntown reads: “The city that never sleeps becomes a waking nightmare when it’s overrun by Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Art the Clown and other clownsfolk who can’t wait to tear you limb from limb.“

The Klowns previously appeared in a Scare Zone in 2018 and a full-on house at Halloween Horror Nights 2019. Art the Clown received his own Terrifier maze in 2025, and free-roamed Universal Studios Orlando. This year, they’ll join returning HHN icon Jack the Clown, who’s been designated as one of the Ringmasters for this year’s event.

On that note, Halloween Horror Nights 35 tickets and packages are now on sale!

The Twitter account teases, “The Killer Klowns from Outer Space are coming to the street of Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights. More deets coming soon.”

It sounds like they’re teasing either another Scare Zone or a situation where costumed Klowns actors will be prowling around the park at night, but we expect to learn more very soon.

Any appearance from the Killer Klowns at Halloween Horror Nights is a good thing!

Now let’s finally get that movie sequel off the ground, yeah?

In addition to the animatronics, we’re also getting a whole bunch of new giant-sized inflatable lawn decorations, with the biggest ones measuring a towering 25 FEET TALL.

The Xenomorph from Alien and Leatherface from Tobe Hooper’s original Texas Chain Saw Massacre are leading the pack, with both characters getting inflatable decorations measuring 8-foot, 15-foot tall, and 25-foot tall. It’s your choice how big (or small) you want to go!

The 25-foot tall Xenomorph from Ridley Scott’s Alien is selling for $599.99, with the 15-foot Xenomorph going for $399.99 and the 8-foot Xenomorph up for grabs for $129.99.

The 25-foot-tall Leatherface from Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a little bit more affordable at $499.99, while the 15-foot Leatherface is $299.99 and the 8-foot Leatherface is $129.99.

For the Alien fanatics, there’s also a Xenomorph egg and Face Hugger inflatable pop-up decoration that measures 6-foot tall. That’s currently up for pre-order for $129.99.

And then there are four brand new Killer Klowns from Outer Space inflatables, including a 7-foot-tall Slim ($99.99), a 6.5-foot Fatso ($99.99), and a 5-foot Shorty ($79.99).

There’s also a 7-foot inflatable hanging Cotton Candy Cocoon selling for $59.99.

All of these are up for pre-order now and they’ll ship out closer to Halloween.

John Massari, the composer of the iconic score for Killer Klowns from Outer Space, presents the 3rd annual Killer Klowns Punk Rock Fest at Gardena Cinema on Saturday, July 11!

The special event will include live music as well as a 38th anniversary screening of Killer Klowns from Outer Space with an introduction from composer John Massari himself.

Also included is a rare screening of Mike Jittlov’s The Wizard of Speed and Time (1988), as well as a Killer Klowns cosplay contest with a grand prize 3-day, 2-night stay in Vegas.

The live bands include Radioactive Chicken Heads, S8NT Elektric, and Sik Sik Siks, with a special guest appearance from Leonard Graves Phillips of The Dickies.

It’s taking place Saturday, July 11, from 2-10:30 PM at Gardena Cinema in Gardena, CA.

The company previews, “Inspired by the classic toy aisles of the past and one of the most beloved cult horror films ever made, Rudy comes packaged on a full-color retro-style card and includes his signature popcorn blaster accessory.” They tease, “More Klowns are on the way.”

Mattel is promising on the official Monster High Instagram account that there will be restocks of the Killer Klowns doll. “Stay tuned for more info on restocks!” the account commented on their own post earlier today. They replied directly to a fan, “restocks are coming!”

Part of the Skullector line of Monster High collectible dolls, the official Killer Klowns from Outer Space doll is based on the loveable and colorful Klowns character known as Shorty.

The doll was selling for $71 as a pre-order, and only “Fang Club” members were given the opportunity to buy the doll from MattelCreations.com, while supplies last. Once again, those supplies didn’t last very long, but it seems more of the dolls will be in stock for everyone soon.

Mattel had been saying earlier this week that the dolls would also be sold directly on Amazon, but while there was indeed a listing for the product on Amazon at 12pm ET earlier today, it never seemed to actually be in stock over there. Perhaps they underestimated the demand.

The doll is reportedly based on Killer Klowns from Outer Space character Shorty (seen above), who has become the most iconic Klown from the 1980s horror-comedy cult classic.

Directed by the Chiodo Brothers, Killer Klowns has surprisingly become a merchandising powerhouse in recent years, with all kinds of collectibles and a Halloween Horror Nights house.

The one thing we still haven’t gotten, despite the modern popularity of the brand? Another Killer Klowns from Outer Space movie, which has been rumored for as long as I can remember.

The Chiodo Brothers have been trying to get a franchise continuation off the ground since way back in the late 1980s when the original movie came out. Stephen Chiodo had explained back in 2021, “We have been trying to get the sequel going since 1988. And Hollywood is just a horrible machine. The film didn’t really get much box office… and when you want to get a sequel done, they look at the box office. They don’t regard cult films as something to invest in.”

He continued, “We have this whole long trilogy – something we call a trilogy in four parts because we include the original – a TV series for cable [or] streaming. It follows the adventures of all the characters as they go through their lives, crushed after the first invasion. It would make a great mini-series. So we’re constantly selling that for people who are interested.”

We did, however, get a video game a few years back. It’s a start!

Three different Killer Klowns from Outer Space character banks are being released in 2026 – Slim, Shorty, and Jumbo – and we’re getting a brand new line of 5″ Klowns action figures featuring Shorty, Slim, the Baby Klown, and even the two female Klowns characters.

Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat is being celebrated with an ultimate Sam doll from Trick or Treat Studios later this year, along with a wave of 5″ action figures based on the film.

Of particular note, we’re getting figures of Trick ‘r Treat characters other than Sam for the very first time, including Anna Paquin’s Laurie, Brian Cox’s Mr. Kreeg, and Dylan Baker’s Steven. It looks like the Laurie and Steven action figures even transform into their alter egos.

Army of Darkness and Day of the Dead are also getting their own 5″ toy lines, while the company’s 8″ scale Scream Greats line will grow to include Maniac Cop, Leprechaun, The Crow, and a new Art the Clown from Terrifier. Inspired by the Polly Pocket and Mighty Max toy lines you might remember from your childhood, the brand new Micro Maniacs toy line will also launch this year with a Myers House playset based on John Carpenter’s original Halloween.

From Massari’s alt-metal band JM, the punk cover of The Dickies’ Killer Klowns has been released today in celebration of the 37th anniversary of the Chiodo Brothers’ horror classic.

In fact, JM will be releasing two officially licensed covers of The Dickies’ iconic theme song, the punk/metal hybrid today, and also a shred-heavy ’80s metal version later this month.

JM first delivers a high-octane metal/punk hybrid, while lead guitarist Jonathan Padilla unleashes an ’80s metal shred fest that reimagines the theme with cinematic firepower.

Massari’s version dropped today, to be followed by Padilla’s edition on Friday, May 30, and both come with original, custom cover art created exclusively for this release.

JM has secured official licensing for both versions of the cult-classic theme, originally composed by Dickies founding member Leonard Phillips. He previews, “These new takes on the Killer Klowns anthem honor the original and amplify its spirit for a new generation.”

But it sounds like the Killer Klowns may be gearing up for their long-awaited return to the screen, with reporter Jeff Sneider breaking a wild scoop late last night on The InSneider.

According to Sneider’s report, which you can read in full behind a paywall, Ryan Gosling is on board to produce a new Killer Klowns from Outer Space project for Amazon MGM Studios?!

Sneider describes the project as a “remake” of the 1988 horror-comedy that was created, written and directed by the Chiodo Bros, which of course centered on killer clowns who came down from outer space in a big top spaceship to terrorize a small town with their popcorn guns, cotton candy cocoons, acid pies, and various other unique implements of destruction.

Amazon has controlled the rights to the Killer Klowns property ever since the company acquired movie studio MGM back in 2022, rebranding the studio to Amazon MGM Studios.

The Chiodo Brothers have been trying to get a franchise continuation off the ground since way back in the late 1980s when the original movie came out, with the property’s popularity growing in more recent years thanks to an endless stream of merchandise and prime product placement on Spirit Halloween’s shelves each and every Halloween season. It would seem the Killer Klowns are closer than ever to returning to our lives, and perhaps Ryan Gosling is the guy to make it happen. Stay tuned for more on this wild rumor as we learn it!

Stephen Chiodo had explained back in 2021, “We have been trying to get the sequel going since 1988. And Hollywood is just a horrible machine. The film didn’t really get much box office… and when you want to get a sequel done, they look at the box office. They don’t regard cult films as something to invest in.”

He continued, “We have this whole long trilogy – something we call a trilogy in four parts because we include the original – a TV series for cable [or] streaming. It follows the adventures of all the characters as they go through their lives, crushed after the first invasion. It would make a great mini-series. So we’re constantly selling that for people who are interested.”

The story for this map sees the invading Klowns flocking to this “vibrant, neon-soaked shopping mall” (and have set up some killer decorations of their own, in the process). Players who are on the Human side should utilize the Mall’s maze-like features to shop and scavenge for any way to survive.

The new map features a movie theater, a bustling boardwalk Arcade, a large parking garage, and a quaint waterfront complete with bumper boats. Players will need to keep a sharp eye out for useful items while weaving their way through the Mall’s stores, corridors, and back rooms. Being exposed in the open areas is highly inadvisable. Utilize the more congested sightlines of the map to build your arsenal and remain undetected.

Most of the crossing and boat escapes are found along the coastline of the map while portal and bunker escapes have the potential to spawn in many places. The Terenzi Brothers, on the other hand, will crash their ice cream truck through somewhere within the mall itself. Some areas are less accessible to the Klown Jump ability, so positioning and teamwork are crucial for Klown teammates when guarding points of escape.

The Klowns have blocked access to the upper floors of the Mall, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to sneak around. Players should use the maze of paths and abundance of hiding places in the map to evade Klowns and throw them for a loop. Keep a lookout for wall-mounted TVs and radios to keep the Klowns distracted.

In addition, later this week, there will be Klown Tricks and Sweet Treats, a special event period with free cosmetics, an extended Double XP weekend, and more!

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series. And if you haven’t already picked up your physical edition of the game, that’s now available, as well.

North by Northwest Steelbook 4K UHD from Warner Bros.

North by Northwest will celebrate its 65th anniversary with a SteelBook 4K UHD + Digital release on November 5 via Warner Bros. It has been restored in 4K with HDR.

Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1959 thriller stars Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, James Mason, and Jessie Royce Landis. Ernest Lehman (The Sound of Music, West Side Story) penned the script.

Evil Dead Figures from NECA

As previewed at San Diego Comic-Con, NECA is making an Evil Dead 7″ scale action figure two-pack featuring bloody Ash and possessed Cheryl — making her toy debut! Due out in January, pre-orders are up for $69.99.

Ash comes with two heads and four hands, while Cheryl has three heads (in various states of decay) and six hands. Other accessories include chainsaw, axe, shovel, fire poker, sketch pad, and grave marker. They’re packaged together in a window box with opening flap.

Drag Me to Hell 4K UHD from Scream Factory

Scream Factory has revealed the specs for Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray, which will be released on October 29.

The theatrical version and the unrated director’s cut have been newly scanned in 4K from the original DI film negative, approved by Raimi and editor Bob Murawski, with Dolby Vision.

Raimi co-wrote the 2009 horror film with brother Ivan Raimi (Army of Darkness, Spider-Man 3). Alison Lohman, Justin Long, Lorna Raver, Dileep Rao, David Paymer, and Adriana Barraza star.

A new making-of featurette, Pardon My Curse: Making Drag Me To Hell, has interviews with Lohman, Rao, Raver, Murawski, Ivan Raimi, director of photography Peter Deming, production designer Steve Saklad, artist Christian Cordella, makeup effects designer Greg Nicotero, composer Christopher Young, and more.

The Wolfman 4K UHD from Scream Factory

The Wolfman, the 2010 remake of the 1941 classic monster movie, transforms on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on October 22 via Scream Factory.

The 103-minute theatrical version and 119-minute unrated director’s cut of have been newly restored in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.

Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger, Jurassic Park III) directs from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en) and David Self (Road to Perdition). Benicio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, and Hugo Weaving star.

Syndicate Collectibles has released an electronic prop replica of Killer Klowns from Outer Space’s popcorn bazooka.

Priced at $99.99, the 24″ of popcorn power features trigger-activated light and sound effects from the movie and a crank handle that “pops” artificial popcorn. It’s rechargeable via USB.

Syndicate’s collectible aims to be more screen accurate than Spirit Halloween’s version, which debuted last year for the same price.

Mothra Pool Float from Middle of Beyond

Even kaiju have to relax, so Middle of Beyond created a Mothra pool float.

The inflatable monster measures 9’ wide and 6’ long and features two cup holders. Priced at $90, it’s expected to ship in early September.

But we’re not here to speculate on the future of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space film franchise. Rather, we’re here to talk about all the iconic locations from the movie that you can now virtually visit inside the video game! You’ve surely stumbled across a handful of these locations in the past month of play, but there are plenty of others you might’ve missed.

We checked in with the developers of Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game and got a full rundown of all the movie locales they faithfully recreated, along with exclusive imagery!

Here are seven Killer Klowns movie locations you can visit in the game!

THE CRESCENT COVE POLICE STATION – DOWNTOWN MAP

The police station is of course one of the most memorable locations from the Chiodo Brothers’ Killer Klowns from Outer Space, the stomping grounds of John Vernon’s Curtis Mooney. And while Mooney doesn’t yet appear in the game in any capacity, you can hide out in his station.

Players can enter the Crescent Cove Police Station and skulk around the movie-accurate interiors, and you can even pay a visit to the room of jail cells that’s featured in the movie!

CRESCENT COVE GAZEBO – DOWNTOWN MAP

On the same map as the police station you’ll also stumble across the Crescent Cove Gazebo, which played host to a memorable scene in the 1988 horror-comedy: the puppet show.

This is of course the location where the Klown known as Spikey lures in an unsuspecting victim with a puppet show, ultimately blasting him with its cotton candy cocoon gun.

And that very puppet gun can also be utilized in the video game!

BIKER’S ALLEY – DOWNTOWN MAP

Another noteworthy location you’ll find on the Downtown Map is Biker’s Alley, which was featured in the most memorable kill scene from the Killer Klowns from Outer Space movie.

This is where a biker dares Shorty the Klown to “knock his block off,” and Shorty responds by donning a pair of red boxing gloves, putting up his dukes, and punching the dude’s head off.

You can recreate that scene in the video game, as Shorty’s main melee weapon is a pair of red boxing gloves. And there are even biker cosmetics for the human players in the game.

BIG TOP BURGER – SUBURBS MAP

Play around in the Suburbs map and you’ll eventually find your way over to Big Top Burger, another location featured in an unforgettable sequence from the Killer Klowns movie.

Big Top Burger is where the Klown we call Jumbo attempts to lure a young child to her demise, which is a special ability that Klowns players can actually utilize within the game.

And yes, you can actually enter Big Top Burger in the video game!

DEBBIE’S HOUSE – SUBURBS MAP

In addition to Suzanne Snyder’s movie character Debbie Stone being featured as a playable skin in the Killer Klowns from Outer Space game, you can also pay a visit to Debbie’s house!

Debbie’s house can be found on the Suburbs Map right around the corner from Big Top Burger, but unfortunately you can only walk up the steps and not actually enter the house.

Maybe that door will unlock in a future update…

TOP OF THE WORLD – TOP OF THE WORLD MAP

Killer Klowns begins with an introduction to Mike Tobacco (also a playable character skin) and Debbie Stone at “Top of the World,” a locale that gets its own map in the video game.

While you can’t make out in the backseat of any cars, you can hang around Top of the World in the Klowns video game. You can also explore more of the location not seen in the movie.

If you’re lucky, the Terenzi Brothers might even show up to help you escape.

THE FUN HOUSE – AMUSEMENT PARK MAP

The other movie-based map you’ll currently find in Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is the Amusement Park, an expansion on a location featured in the movie’s final act.

As you may recall, the climactic events of the movie begin with the characters entering the Crazy House attraction, where they soon end up inside the Killer Klowns’ spaceship.

While you can’t do battle with Klownzilla in the game or even enter the Crazy House, you can at least take selfies outside. And who knows, maybe the spaceship map is coming soon…

There is an additional fifth map available in Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game at launch, titled Clown Summer Camp, but that’s an original location created for the video game.

The most unexpected addition to the mix is undoubtedly Frank, a background Klown you can briefly spot during a couple different sequences in the 1988 horror-comedy. Funko is clearly leaving no stone unturned as they continue to celebrate the beloved cult classic, which bodes well for the future of their Killer Klowns collection. It seems no character is off limits!

These new additions join a pretty massive lineup of existing Klowns toys from Funko, with available characters thus far including Shorty, Rudy, Fatso, Bibbo, Spikey, and Baby Klown.

Yet while 1988’s Killer Klowns from Outer Space might not be held in the same esteem as, say, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, it’s the IP that ultimately inspired a brand new collaboration between the teams at Teravision and Illfonic. And with the latter studio having established itself as a real authority in this genre — counting Friday the 13th: The Game, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed and Predator: Hunting Grounds amongst its credits — you can hardly blame them for going with their gut. Indeed, they must have seen real potential in The Chiodo Brothers’ goofy flick because, despite its relatively niche appeal, they’ve deigned it worthy of a multiplayer tie-in. By Illfonic’s own admission, Killer Klowns doesn’t have the same brand recognition as some of the other pop-culture landmarks they’ve enviably been entrusted with in the past. Unlike Ghostbusters it didn’t set the box office alight during its initial theatrical run, nor did it manage to spawn any kind of follow-up in the intervening years (never mind a whopping eleven of them, ala Friday the 13th). And while the Predator franchise has been milked for all its worth since its debut, Killer Klowns has effectively laid dormant for the better part of four decades. Notwithstanding a cult resurgence at Halloween Horror Nights.

Layer on top of all that the fact that your average cinemagoer doesn’t know Fatso the Klown from Adam — in stark contrast to how intimately acquainted they are with Jason Voorhees or Slimer — and you’d be forgiven for thinking that this latest licence is a bit of a downgrade for the devs. A trashy B-movie comedown after some Grade-A blockbusters.

What a pleasant surprise it is then, to report that Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is actually one of the most enjoyable asymmetrical horrors we’ve played to date. More polished than its Camp Crystal Lake stablemate, pacier than Saber Interactive’s take on Evil Dead, and considerably less frustrating than a certain Behaviour Interactive juggernaut, it’s an absolute blast no matter which side of the colourful carnage you’re on. In fact, almost every single match we played for the purposes of this review ended with a lobby-full of journalists all in fits of hysterical laughter; eager to keep the slapstick violence going for “just one more round.”

“This Is No Fun House”

An encyclopedic knowledge of the source material is not required here but, in case you’ve not seen it, Killers Klowns from Outer Space is a tongue-in-cheek homage to the gloriously shlocky sci-fi of the 1950s.

Think The Brain from Planet Arous, This Island Earth or any given Red Scare film that used Martians as a stand-in for the communist menace. Only in this instance, the quintessential flying saucer is replaced with an intergalactic Big Top and the little green men have been swapped out for hideous harlequins.

You see, the gimmick is that those eponymous jesters are in fact ancient astronauts who visited our pale blue dot once before and, in doing so, inadvertently gave primitive man the idea for many of the traditions now associated with the circus. So their grotesque appearance became the template for Bozo-style makeup, their advanced vehicles gave birth to the clown car, and their bulbous weak spots served as the inspiration for the red noses that are worn by children’s party entertainers the world over.

That pretty much covers the “Klown” part of the movie’s wacky title and, if the word “Killer” didn’t already tip you off, let’s just say that the next thing you need to know about these spacefaring pranksters is that they definitely don’t come in peace. On the contrary, their Plan 9 entails kidnapping unsuspecting earthlings, putting us into cold storage, and then keeping us on tap for whenever they’re feeling parched.

Oh, and sometimes they get disconcertingly horny and attempt to procreate with teenagers who look suspiciously like 30-year-old mortgagors. But that incident with the Terenzis may just have been a one-off!

Anyway, the new game faithfully retains this goofy premise — sans the interspecies breeding — as well as a few of the main characters and the setting from the original movie. Once again, the Klowns have set their sights on the remote town of Crescent Cove and once again they’re jonesing for our blood.

However, this time around the residents are a little more prepared. Unwilling to go down without a fight, it seems that they’ve invested in all kinds of supplies and civic defensive measures between invasions (including emergency bunkers, air horns that can disorient those big-eared freaks, and plenty of guns). So it’s safe to say that the odds have been evened.

Which, incidentally, creates the perfect conditions for one of Illfonic’s trademark asymmetrical multiplayer joints.

The Greatest Balancing Act On Earth!

You know the drill with this sort of thing. There’s always a group of would-be victims who are charged with absconding the map, and then a designated hunter whose job is to make sure that nobody makes it out alive.

Killer Klowns is no different in this regard, although it does take a leaf out of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’s book by giving its villains some company and letting them form a team of their very own. In this case, the match structure is 7 v 3 (that’s 7 humans to 3 floppy-footed ETs) and, for what it’s worth, it feels like that balance is pretty spot on. These asymmetrical releases usually have their teething problems at first, as one half of the dynamic tends to be overpowered or unfair exploits slip through the cracks for less-sportsmanlike players to abuse. Indeed, it can often take a few months of community feedback and iterative patching before the elusive sweet spot is found.

Conversely, this one feels like it’s gone through that refinement process in advance, likely owing to Illfonic having the whole asymmetrical thing down to a fine art by now. Plus, they’ve learned a bunch of lessons from their previous forays into the genre, allowing them to sidestep some of its common pitfalls (more on that later). It’s quite impressive to be honest, with the ratio of Klown to Survivor wins resembling a near enough 50-50 split.

And that’s exactly what you want, of course, as it means you’re never disappointed when the game randomly assigns you to one team instead of the other. In fact, we had a ton of fun on both sides of the Klownpocalypse.

Organised Chaos

As humans, you’ve got four potential objectives to be focusing on. You can either repair a docked speedboat, try to clear obstructions that are preventing you from leaving via road, power up an inexplicable teleporter machine, or open the aforementioned emergency shelter and wait for this whole nightmare to blow over.

Regardless of which strategy you plump for, there’s inevitably going to be a lot of sneaking around and rummaging through containers as you look for the necessary key items — the catch being that some of these are featured on more than one checklist. For example, both the bunker and the boat must be fuelled with gasoline, while the latter also shares its sparkplug requirement with the portal generator.

If you’re the person who stumbles across any of these objects, it can therefore be a little stressful deciding what to do with them. You’ve got to weigh up which escape route is closest, what the rest of the squad is currently working on, and whether it’s too early to make a tactical commitment to any given plan. Not to mention, a couple of the sanctuaries/ getaway vehicles have a maximum occupancy limit, meaning that you could be forced to leave fellow survivors behind should you (ill-advisedly) put all of your eggs in one basket.

The suspense that comes from this is palpable and puts you constantly on edge. Especially since it’s complicated even further by a ticking clock element. On that note, every match has an imposed 15-minute countdown and, if you don’t get out of Dodge before that elapses, you’ll be at the epicentre of a cotton candy catastrophe the likes of which you’ve never seen. In gameplay terms, this means that humans can’t afford to waste time hiding in dumpsters or trolling their pursuers, as is permitted in certain other titles (*cough* Dead by Daylight). Rather, it behooves them to concentrate on the task at hand and get shit done. Otherwise, they’ll risk being at ground zero when the pink-hued Armageddon rolls around.

Again, it’s a smart design-choice that adds a welcome dose of urgency to proceedings and does wonders for the flow of gameplay, stopping it from dragging on. As a result, the matches here feel snappy and gloriously frenetic; with everybody running around in a man panic amidst the chaos of “gigaray” fire and popcorn projectiles.

Close Encounters of The Zany Kind

With all that said, you might be thinking that the deck is stacked utterly against the local populace of Crescent Cove. After all, they can’t all escape at once, have to make split-second decisions that could later come back to bite them in the ass, and time is literally against them too.

On the flip side, while they might not have the best home-field advantage, human players do get some perks. For a start, there are a number of helpful items scattered around the map that can give you an edge over the Klowns. The sugar rush obtained from chugging a soda, for instance, will help you outrun pursuers, while the compass is a real lifesaver as well (temporarily highlighting the location of all exits).

Then you’ve got an assortment of weapons which, in a refreshing shakeup for the genre, allow you to get a kill or two of your own on the scoreboard. That’s right, it’s actually possible to turn the tables on your tormentors in Killer Klowns, which is deliciously therapeutic if you’ve been on the receiving end of one-too-many dismemberments in Friday the 13th, or find yourself constantly being sacrificed to The Entity in DbD. Granted, getting your own back on the aliens does require a good amount of coordination — on account of them being physically stronger and only vulnerable in the nose region — but it can be done if you play it smart.

And, to reiterate, that role-reversal is mighty cathartic! Speaking from experience, there’s nothing that quite compares to the thrill of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat by gunning down a Klown that’s blocking your escape route, with mere seconds left on the clock. It’s the kind of watercooler moment that you’ll be giddily recounting with friends in the downtime between rounds.

Alas, the excitement does dissipate a little when the ranged combat gives way to closer encounters. Melee is stiff and awkward, with it often feeling like the winner is determined less so by skill and more so by sheer luck. The way it works is that you hammer the R2 trigger to clumsily swing your baseball bat around, while your clueless opponent does the same until one of you obligingly kicks the bucket. As opposed to being an exhilarating fight to the death, it more strongly evokes the jankiness of a Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots bout.

Fortunately, perishing in one of those confusing scuffles isn’t necessarily the end of the line. You see, dying in Killer Klowns from Outer Space takes you to a familiar spectator mode, as it does in most other titles. But where that’d normally be your cue to bail, Illfonic and Teravision have found a clever way of motivating you to stick around, with a miraculous resurrection being on the cards.

All that needs to happen to facilitate this second coming is for one of your still-breathing buddies to activate a terminal that’s hidden somewhere in the map. You’re not left idly twiddling your thumbs while you wait for them to do this either, as you’re instead given the chance to play some minigames that will, in turn, help you stockpile items ahead of any prospective respawn.

Overlaid on top of the live feed that you’re watching, these bite-sized challenges take the form of old-school carnival games. There’s the Whac-A-Klown QTE, a pattern memorisation puzzle, a balloon-popping gallery and the opportunity to just shoot some hoops. The better you perform in the chosen skill test, the greater your reward; which you can either hang onto (in case you are brought back to life) or gift to the remaining survivors like some kind of benevolent guardian angel.

It’s a revelatory mechanic that takes the sting out of premature failure and — complementing the fact that matches are short & sweet to begin with — gives you an incentive not to ditch the lobby as soon as you’ve been zapped by a Klown. Honestly, it makes a world of difference and it’ll be hard to go back to those other asymmetrical games now knowing that they don’t have an equivalent. Let’s hope they take note!

I’m Off To Join The Circus

Of course, whilst it’s vital that the human half of the experience is satisfying, you really want to know what it’s like to step into the oversized shoes of those jesters from beyond the stars. Well, rest assured that Klown gameplay is not only finely balanced here but it’s also ridiculously entertaining.

Fans of the movie, in particular, are sure to be pleased by how comprehensively it represents the aliens’ quirky abilities and oddball gadgets. Whatever moment from the film you consider to be most aspirational, you can almost certainly relive it: from knocking off a teen’s head with boxing gloves to performing a straight vertical jump that defies the laws of Newtonian physics.

Before you can indulge in that intoxicating power trip though, you’ll first need to put aside your bloodlust for a minute and do some harvesting. The reason for this being that Klowns don’t spawn in with immediate access to their loadout, and so are better off deferring the hunt and focussing on more achievable goals. At least until they reach full strength.

The earlier stages of the invasion are thus dominated by you and your cohorts scouring the environment for confectious cocoons that can be hooked up to nearby processor gizmos. Doing so enough times will furnish you with a small army of AI-controlled lackeys (little roaming gremlins that expose the location of any prey they happen upon) and accelerate the Klownpocalypse timer thereby putting extra pressure on the other team. In that sense, it recalls how feeding Grandpa in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre would eventually pay dividends and make things easier for the family in the long run. So neglect it at your peril!

Only after you’ve wrangled up a sufficient posse of scouts should you think about cutting loose with all your cool toys. But, trust us, the delayed gratification is well worth it! Ambushing a group of survivors who are on the cusp of escaping — dashing their hopes of salvation as you coat them in reams upon reams of fairy floss — never stops being fun. Nor does blasting them with the popcorn launcher or whaling on them with a novelty mallet.

Outside of the weapons, you’ve also got some fiendish abilities like a hypnosis lure and balloon animal craft (through which you can fashion a handy sniffer dog). Again, using these successfully always provokes a devious chuckle from the perpetrator in question. There’s a nice handful of them to unlock as well, hopefully ensuring that the game has decent legs post-release.

Speaking of which, there is a solid progression system here that should prevent lobbies from dwindling anytime soon. In addition to earning new armaments and tricks by levelling up, you’ll be rewarded with a number of vibrant options for customising your Klown too. We’ve dressed ours in a snazzy Sundae-themed ensemble, complete with delicious-looking sprinkles, and have to say that we’ve grown rather fond of it.

Most tantalizingly of all, however, are the screwy finisher animations you can unlock known as “Klownalities.” Significantly less gory than their Mortal Kombat namesakes, these imaginative executions revel in the glorious absurdity of the Killer Klowns premise. You’ll want to collect them all, as each one is sillier than the last, allowing you to do insane things like: cake your victims in custard pies; engulf them in a whirlwind of confetti; or get a hand-shadow puppet to swallow them whole.

The point is, they’re very charming and, as such, in keeping with the PG-13, gateway horror vibe of the source material. The Chiodo Brothers’ movie was always about cartoonish slapstick after all, as opposed to excessive blood & guts. This game fundamentally understands that. In general, it understands a lot about the enduring appeal of Killer Klowns and that’s what makes it such a resounding success.

Don’t get us wrong, it’s not without its flaws. The opportunity to tweak your loadout while waiting for the lobby to populate wouldn’t go amiss — whereas, at present, you’ve got to leave and do it via a dedicated menu — and there ought to be at least a couple more maps so that rotations doesn’t get stale. The A.I. bots could do with an overhaul as well. At best they’re functionally useless right now and, at worst, they’re active liabilities that can cost you the entire match (by drawing enemies to your location and stubbornly holding onto items you need). Still, these are all minor gripes and nothing that cannot be remedied via a handful of quick updates.

Even in its current form, Killer Klowns from Outer Space is an extremely tight package and a formidable contender in the asymmetrical multiplayer genre. We can’t wait to see how it evolves from here, because it already has the makings of a legit cult favourite, just like the film upon which it is based. Who’d have thought that Fatso would be giving Leatherface a run for his money in the year 2024?

In 1988, the Chiodo Brothers (consisting of siblings Stephen, Charles and Edward) took their seemingly ridiculous premise of having otherworldly monsters in the form of circus clowns land on Earth to wreak havoc on a quiet little town and produced it into a full-length motion picture. Inspired by creature features and B-movies alike, their unconventional film with a deliberately hokey title would garner an initially significant following that evolved into a major cult classic close to four decades later.

In Killer Klowns, After seeing what they perceive to be a comet crash down in the woods, Mike (Grant Cramer, Hardbodies, New Year’s Evil) and Debbie (Suzanne Snyder, Weird Science, Return of the Living Dead Part 2) investigate, only to find a totally misplaced Big Top circus tent with some high-tech interior décor and loads of cotton candy. It all seems like a fun time for all, until Mike discovers that the cotton candy contains the bloody corpses of local townsfolk.

The couple seek help from the local police, who of course do not believe their whacky tale. It doesn’t help that the officers include the grumpy Curtis Mooney (played by the late John Vernon in a role almost as memorable as the Dean he portrayed in Animal House) and Debbie’s ex, Dave Hanson (John Allen Nelson, former Baywatch hunk). Hanson is more receptive to their accusations, because he still has a huge soft spot for Debbie, but also has some serious ill will towards Mike for being his replacement. This dynamic is understandably super awkward and a nice little subplot to get you to care about those characters, because who doesn’t enjoy a nice little love triangle. On the flip side, Mooney believes it is only a promotional stunt by Mike’s BFFs, the offbeat Terenzi Brothers (Michael S. Siegel and Peter Licassi), who sell ice cream out of their truck adorned with a giant clown head.

Soon the Klowns get down on the town and start their reign of terror. Will they take over the planet and turn it into one giant cotton candy cocoon? Will Dave win Debbie back or just pummel Mike to let his aggression out? Will the Terenzi Brothers score with the ladies without needing to bribe them with unlimited ice cream? Will Mooney ever crack a smile? All these questions and more are answered in the 88-minute running time.

The Chiodo Brothers created a bizarre yet beautiful carnival of creativity with the Killer Klowns universe that is a major part of the film’s appeal and hardcore fanbase. Let’s start with the Klown headliners— Jumbo, Fatso, Shorty (my boo), Rudy, Spikey, Slim, Bibbo, and Chubby. They are all great villains, vastly unique in look, personality, and weaponry. And that weaponry dreamt up by the Chiodo Brothers is as innovative as the Klowns themselves. The Klowns hunt their prey with cotton candy cocoon guns, flesh-eating popcorn, lethal shadow puppetry, super-sized mallets, animated balloon animals, and boxing gloves with some serious extra “pop.” And if you haven’t seen the film and you think those gadgets sound cool, well they are even more awesome to see in action. Even if the special effects are from the ’80s.

All this talk about extraterrestrial clowns and circus weaponry can easily overshadow our human stars. Kramer, Snyder, Nelson, and Mooney are all fantastic as the leads, playing their parts perfectly. And then there are appearances by veteran actor Royal Dano (Ghoulies 2) and Christopher Titus (Titus), well before his popularity hit its stride.

Now I am sure you are wondering how Scream Factory did with the transfer, and you will be pleased to know that they did an awesome job. The picture is absolutely gorgeous and quite a step up from the previous Blu-ray release. Considering that legacy Blu-ray looked pretty good, you can imagine how great the Dolby Vision is for this 4K presentation. Wish the audio was Dolby Atmos instead of DTS, but not a deal breaker by any means because the sound is fine.

The 4K also comes with a Blu-ray that houses the bonus features. There are not a ton of extras, but the ones they have are very interesting, even if previously released: a making-of featurette, an SFX featurette and a featurette dedicated to the film’s score. There are also deleted scenes, bloopers, audio commentary with the Chiodo Brothers, Easter Eggs, and more.

So says Jared Gerritzen, Chief Creative Officer at IllFonic, as we sit down for a quick interview with him on Discord. He’s certainly an authoritative voice on this matter too, given that he’s worked on adaptations for each of those cherished properties over the years (in the form of Friday the 13th: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed), giving them all the asymmetrical multiplayer treatment that his development studio has got down to a fine art by now.

He continues: “And that means that people have pre-conceived notions of what those franchises should be. I guess what I’m saying is that they come with the burden of expectation, as you’ve got to [appease] fans of every individual movie or comic-book, regardless of their varying degrees of quality.”

Yet Gerritzen seems less wary of any such purism when it comes to IllFonic’s latest release. Probably because it’s based on an IP that’s nowhere near as venerated in the pop-culture zeitgeist.

From Enduring Blockbusters to a Cult Movie

There’s no two ways about it; Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a textbook example of a cult classic. While it might be yet another hallmark of the 1980s, it’s one that’s far less recognizable to your Average Joe cinemagoer than Ghostbusters and it’s effectively been left untouched by the Hollywood system for almost four decades.

If you’ve not seen it, the film is a B-movie pastiche about a group of ancient astronauts, who inadvertently inspired our planet’s tradition of jesters and fools, running amok in a Gremlins-style rampage. Their goal being to encase hapless earthlings in cotton candy cocoons, so that they can later drink their gelatinized fluids as a means of sustenance. It’s every bit as daft as it sounds.

With that said, apart from the fact that its titular ETs have glowing red weak spots for noses, there’s nothing about Killer Klowns that makes it feel like a particularly obvious candidate for a video game revival in the year 2024. The demented brainchild of the Chiodo Brothers — a trio of special effects renaissance men with shared expertise in claymation, animatronics, creature design, stop motion and more — it’s a modestly budgeted affair that hardly set the box office ablaze, didn’t really penetrate the mainstream consciousness, and never got a sequel (in an era when that was practically an industry mandate). And yet here we are.

For his part, Gerritzen is cognizant of the brand’s relatively niche appeal, conceding: “It’s one of those things where some goofy kids had this absurd idea almost 40 years ago, turned it into a movie and then it just kind of [disappeared] into the ether. But over the decades people keep on rediscovering it and there is a real passionate fanbase out there! You’d be surprised by the number of people who have approached us at expos like PAX, proudly displaying their tattoos of Jumbo or getting starstruck [when they] meet the Chiodos over at our booth.

“And for those who don’t know Killer Klowns, we hope that our game will serve as a gateway into that wonderfully weird world. That they’ll play it and seek out this completely insane film that they’ll fall in love with too.”

On that note, even if it’s not as legendary as Predator or Ghostbusters, IllFonic is still adapting Killer Klowns from Outer Space with the same reverence they held for those other, arguably more prestigious, licenses. Regarding that original film as a kind of holy text, they have been careful to honor its spirit, its tone, its mythos and its iconography in every single aspect of their new title.

So if you are a card-carrying Klownhead, there will be ample opportunity here for you to do the Rick Dalton fingerpoint. Indeed, over the course of just a 30-minute preview session, we struggled to count how many Crescent Cove landmarks we encountered (Hello Big Top Burger!), how many cute Easter Eggs we managed to spot, and how many of our favourite moments we got to experience first-hand. Whether we were avoiding detection from a balloon-animal tracker as a human, or performing a gravity-defying vertical jump as one of the aliens in order to zip around the map; it all felt so authentic.

Rebalancing the Asymmetrical Multiplayer Genre

Speaking of which, this is an IllFonic production (co-developed with Teravision Games) and so it’s naturally an online asymmetrical take on the material. Borrowing quite a bit from Friday the 13th, it’s got the usual match structure that you’ve come to expect from this sort of thing.

Those in the role of would-be victims must scavenge the environment for various items that will unlock escape routes — such as gasoline to fuel a boat, spark plugs to power various electronics, or keycards to enter shelters — while their opponents have the considerably more straightforward task of just murdering everyone in sight.

To be fair, Klown gameplay is a little bit more nuanced than the mindless slaughter F13 veterans might be accustomed to, as you’ll also need to keep your eyes peeled for valuable cotton candy cocoons. These resources can be hooked up to generators — scattered all over the environment — in order to accelerate the apocalyptic countdown that triggers the ends of the match, as well as to spawn in lackeys that will alert you to your quarry’s location. Think of it a bit like how feeding Grandpa works in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Not to mention, you’ll also have a suite of fun gadgets and abilities at your disposal too, like the aforementioned super jump, popcorn bazookas and oversized mallets for caving in skulls.

Somewhat unusually for this genre though, humans can give just as good as they get. From firearms to melee weapons and throwables, they have the capacity for self-defense and can take the fight directly to their interstellar tormentors, provided that they coordinate as team of course.

In fact, some well-placed buckshot or a powerful axe-swing might be enough to take one of the Klowns out of commission, meaning that you can actually rack up some kills as a survivor for once. As someone who has been hoisted upon one-too-many hooks in Dead by Daylight, I’ll be the first to admit that it’s pretty damn cathartic.

Recalling how this refreshing twist came about, Gerritzen told us: “It’s a delicate balance. We’ve made four of these asymmetrical horror games now and think we have a pretty strong understanding of what does and doesn’t work.

“The key thing is that humans have to feel vulnerable, otherwise playing as a Klown isn’t satisfying whatsoever. But we also know, from experience, that you can go too far in the other direction. If you make the killers overpowered in these games, then you leave room for annoying scenarios [wherein] somebody spawns, turns the wrong corner and is immediately killed through no fault of their own. That really sucks! It’s one of the reasons we decided to let the humans have a real fighting chance here.”

Evening the playing field further, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game boldly eschews tradition by allowing its survivors to respawn mere moments after death (provided that a resurrection machine has been activated) and they even have a chance of coming back with the gear intact, so long as they manage to ace a quick minigame. As a result, the main concern for human players is not that they could kick the bucket too early, but rather that they might not be able to escape before the timer hits zero. That’s ultimately how you fail here, and it creates an entirely different dynamic. One that encourages you to take more risks, instead of simply cowering in hiding places while your partners do all the heavy lifting.

Should you get away, then you are also incentivized to stick around as a spectator by participating in a short arcadey minigame, through which you can gift your leftover items to any teammates who are still in jeopardy, helping them out in their hour of need. Again, it’s a neat, innovative way of balancing the scales.

Trading Blood & Guts for Confetti & Glitter

Because of that (much-appreciated) second wind mechanic, we actually managed to emerge victorious on our very first round as a survivor. And this was despite the fact that we fell victim to a “Klownality” at the 10-minute mark.

Which brings us to those wacky finisher animations.

Named in a way that blatantly nods towards their Mortal Kombat counterparts, these are uninterruptable kills that Klowns can perform should they manage to down their prey. Unlike fatalities, though, they’re not excessive displays of bloodshed and viscera, so much as they are silly little visual gags that befit the source material. Rather than ripping out spinal columns or bisecting people with saw blades then, you’re far likelier to be pelting them with an entire patisserie’s worth of custard pies.

Describing the rationale behind this, Gerritzen explained: “When we’ve been adapting movies in the past, we’ve often had the privilege of getting to work with the original creators. We were lucky enough to meet Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd when doing Ghostbusters, for instance. Yet that was very much on an ad-hoc basis. They weren’t deeply involved with the project.

“Whereas I now text the Chiodos almost weekly to ask them questions and [solicit] their opinion on what we’re doing. It’s been really, really cool becoming friends with them. They came out to Boston for PAX and they hung out for the entire weekend in the booth, doing lots of interviews. They’re just super cool dudes. They even started gaming now because of their involvement with this!

“They’re also really different from people like Tom Savini [who collaborated with IllFonic on Friday the 13th: The Game]. You know, Savini always tries to figure out how to make the most brutal kills imaginable and he tries to make the audience members look away from the screen if he can.

“The Chiodos have a very different [ethos]. They’re masters of their own, far more tongue-in-cheek, style of practical effects. If you look at their work with Critters, Team America or Marcel the Shell, they’re absolutely not going for hardcore ultraviolence. They’re just not gore guys.”

Which is a characterization of the brothers that definitely chimes with their onscreen output. After all, anyone who has seen the PG-13 rated Killer Klowns will attest that it’s pretty tame viewing (even for the most coulrophobic of individuals), sharing more in common with something like Mars Attacks! than it does intense horrors like Stephen King’s It or the Terrifier films. Indeed, it never gets much worse than a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it decapitation and its most gruesome moments are generally softened with a tinge of black comedy too (like when the aliens drink blood through an extravagant silly straw!) So, it makes sense that the Chiodos would want the game adaptation to strike a similarly playful tone.

“That was actually the subject of one of my first calls with them,” Gerritzen adds. “We presented them with the original Klownalities and their response was: ‘This is very cool, but it’s all blood.’ They wanted us to rein that in and injected this idea of replacing most of the gory [giblets] with confetti, glitter and bubbles. Because that’s what’s Killer Klowns is! It really changed our way of thinking.

“We realized that we were still in that Friday the 13th and Predator mindset — where gore is a big deal — and that had to shake out of it. I’m so happy that we did that because what we ended up with is far truer to [the spirit of that] original film.”

Based on the short snippet of Killer Klowns from Outer Space that we’ve played thus far, that’s very much our impression too. It’s a game that absolutely understands its heritage, captures its creator’s unique sense of humour, and seems to be quite well-polished to boot. Whether or not it will be the Greatest Show on Earth, it’s still a circus that we can’t wait to experience in full.

The game is coming along 36 years after creators the Chiodo Bros. released the cult classic ’80s movie, and the good news here is that the Chiodos are heavily involved in the game.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is a 3v7 asymmetrical multiplayer horror game based on the cult horror classic film. When murderous alien Klowns come to feed on the quiet town of Crescent Cove, the locals must work together to fight back and survive the invasion.

Players can team up as either Klowns or humans, choosing from a variety of character classes, to explore an expansive, ever-changing map with creepy surprises waiting around every corner.

• Take on the role of the iconic Killer Klowns – cooperate in a team of three players, utilize unworldly abilities, hunt humans with zany weapons, and plan your alien invasion to harvest the population of Crescent Cove successfully.
• Fight back as a team of seven brave citizens of Crescent Cove – explore the city for valuable loot and weapons, avoid getting captured by Klowns, and try to survive the alien invasion.

Developed by Teravision Games and Illfonic, this playfully panic-inducing action experience faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the iconic movie and aims to stir up the asymmetrical multiplayer horror genre in multiple ways. The game is being developed as a live-service title, with multiple content updates planned for post-launch.

Leviathan plunges onto 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on February 20 via Kino Lorber. The 1989 sci-fi/horror film been newly restored in 4K from the 35mm interpositive with Dolby Vision/HDR and 5.1 surround and lossless 2.0 audio.

George P. Cosmatos (Rambo: First Blood Part II, Tombstone) directs from a script by David Webb Peoples (Blade Runner, 12 Monkeys) and Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive). Peter Weller, Richard Crenna, Amanda Pays, Daniel Stern, Ernie Hudson, Michael Carmine, Lisa Eilbacher, and Héctor Elizondo star.

“Ghoulish” Gary Pullin’s Killer Icons series features pop art-style designs based on Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, Child’s Play, and Candyman.

Each design is printed on 5×5 matte card stock and signed by the artist. The set of six costs $40.

Gremlins Figures from Super 7

Gremlins was part of Super 7’s ReAction Figures line when they were working with Funko back in 2015, but new versions of Gizmo and Stripe are coming in early 2024.

Gizmo comes with 3D glasses, while Stripe has a circular saw blade. The 3.75″ scale retro-style toys are up for pre-order for $20 each.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes Steelbook 4K UHD from Walmart

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is coming to home video on February 13, and Walmart will carry an exclusive Steelbook 4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital edition of the prequel featuring artwork by Tracie Ching.

Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2) directs from a script by Michael Lesslie (Assassin’s Creed) and Michael Arndt (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), based on Suzanne Collins’ 2020 novel. Oldboy is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a 4K Ultra HD set on December 12 via Neon and Decal Releasing. The 2003 South Korean revenge thriller has been restored in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision.

Park Chan-wook (Stoker) directs from a script by Lim Jun-hyung and Hwang Jo-yun, based on the manga written by Garon Tsuchiya and illustrated by Nobuaki Minegishi. Choi Min-sik, Yoo Ji-tae, and Kang Hye-jung star.

The releases features a 68-page casebound book with three new essays by film critics Stephanie Zacharek, David Sims, and Phoebe Chen along with six gift-wrapped collector’s cards.

It carries over 18 hours (!) of special features, including three audio commentaries with various cast and crew members, a new interview with Chan-wook and filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, the feature-length documentary Old Days: An Oldboy Story, three and a half hours of video diaries, deleted scenes, featurettes, and more.

At long last, the latest wave features a bona fide horror icon in Pennywise. Based on Bill Skarsgård’s portrayal in IT: Chapter Two, the 6″ scale action figures is limited to 10,700.

Just like in the cult movie, Baby Klown is growing out of a bucket of popcorn, while the Klown known as Fatso is holding a heart-shaped box, a clown doll, and a blaster.

Officially unveiled this week, the latest Killer Klowns toy from Funko depicts the Klown they call “Bibbo,” and it recreates the fun pizza delivery scene from the 1988 horror-comedy.

Up for grabs beginning today, the Killer Klowns from Outer Space Cotton Candy Cocoon is a replica of the prop seen in the 1988 movie, and it measures a towering 6-foot tall!

“This prop features details just like in the movie. With a red face being consumed by the bright pink cotton candy exterior, this static prop will have your home looking straight out of a scene from the film. Hang it from the ceiling and you’ll have your guests always looking over their shoulders for some Killer Klowns,” Spirit Halloween describes the product.
