From Dread Central...

Glenn Danzig (lead singer of Misfits, Samhain, and Danzig) has just signed a feature film agreement with Cleopatra Entertainment.

Danzig will write, direct and compose the score for a new three-part horror anthology based on his popular Verotik comic books.

“Glenn has a fantastic track record of building brands, including Verotik,” Brian Perera, owner and CEO of Cleopatra Records/Cleopatra Entertainment says. “We’re excited to bring his vision and passion to the screen.”

Principal photography for the anthology film will begin fall of 2018."

Well, if Rob Zombie can do it… let’s hope Glenn Danzig can do it better. He’s already the more talented musician. I am a fan of White Zombie’s last two albums, and most of RZ’s solo work, but none of it comes close to the magnificent first four Danzig albums featuring the legendary original line-up, and much of his later music is very solid and vastly underrated. Of course, GD's punk era with Misfits and Samhain is also the stuff of legend. The man is a musical genius, but I hope he can prove to be a great filmmaker. I’ve never read any Verotik titles, but Glenn Danzig is a successful comic book writer and artist with his own brand, so let’s see if this material from the creator himself will translate well to screen.

Yeah, I'll have to read some Verotik comics before this is released to get an idea of what it might be like.

One Verotik comic book called Grub Girl was adapted into a pornographic horror film, which was supposed to be very faithful to the original storyline that sounds interesting... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grub_Girl. I'm going to check it out.
