What subject did a horror movie cover that you liked?

For example: Childs play did a great job capturing juvenile fear. Discuss!

  • Hereditary and Killing of a Sacred Deer...mainly because of the way both directors tapped into the occult and folklore in very unique stylized ways. Interesting, original concepts.

The arthouse/avantgarde approach that Aronofksy took with Mother! was a direct kick in the teeth to mainstream film goers and I loved every second of it. To discuss it... is revealing spoilers, so read about or just watch it if you haven't.
