Record Store Locator
The TVD app is wonderful! It lists registered shops by distance from your current location. If you’re traveling and don’t want to waste your time, be sure to contact the shop to make sure it’s actually still in business.

Record Store Day
I love Record Store Day, but what was originally organized as a celebration of the Indie record store, RSD has morphed into a “Sale” day for over-priced, limited run, (occasionally) reissued LPs. RSD releases take place in mid-April and on Black Friday in November.

I'm not a Black Friday shopper, but I don't mind venturing out for this event. The absence of pricing makes it difficult to plan accordingly, but most single LP releases run in the $20-35 range depending on the type of release. 7" singles are ridiculous at $15.
I'm interested in a couple things so I plan on checking out a couple shops.
Rare David Bowie and Led Zeppelin material coming out for Record Store Day

@ThatIrishGuy Check out The Vinyl District app if you don't already have it. I love digging as well. I've even got my kids interested so I've got occasional help with my wantlist.
Tower Records was the best. I could spend hours in Tower and it would only seem like fifteen minutes. I watched the TR doc, All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records (2015). Directed by Colin Hanks and featuring a number of celebs who frequented the chain. Check it out.
I love the sound of vinyl. I do have a player and some classic metal vinyls but they are all in storage as I just don't have the space unfortunately.
2018 Record Store Day releases have officially been announced and there are plenty of rarities, remixes, new releases, first time on vinyl, colored vinyl, live sets, collections, limited 7” & 10” and many other RSD exclusives. RSD releases are collector heavy with many of the titles receiving limited pressing of 1000 or less.
