During last week’s EXPOCINE26 in São Paulo, the film’s Brazilian distributor, Sato Company, unveiled Minus Zero‘s official collectible popcorn bucket – which is basically a movie-accurate sculpt of Godzilla himself with a small opening on his back to insert popcorn.

While the highly detailed monster is impressive enough (it actually looks better than several official action figures), attendees were floored by the sheer size of the figure, with many fans claiming that it’s likely the biggest collectible popcorn bucket ever made.

There are currently no official measurements available, but the figure’s size isn’t all that surprising when you consider that it was developed by Golden Link, the same manufacturer behind the previous record-holding popcorn bucket – the gigantic Galactus head from Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Sato confirmed that the bucket won’t be a Brazilian exclusive, but there are no specifics about which theater chains will carry the collectible and how much it’ll cost. However, regardless of where it’s available, I know I’ll be there on opening night to support my favorite radioactive reptile.

Omri Katz, Larry Bagby, and Tobias Jelinek dive back into their roles to recreate the early scene that sees teen protagonist Max (Katz) peddle through Old Burial Hill in Marblehead, where he’s accosted by bullies Ice (Bagby) and Jay (Jelinek). Watch below as the original film’s footage gets spliced with their present-day recreation.

They’re having a blast, interjecting bits of comedy into the classic scene. Katz’s line about smoking is likely a knowing wink to his 2022 interview with EW, where he confessed to being stoned during production. 

While the OG stars, along with Vinessa Shaw, are back in Salem to host their annual Buncha Halloween event and celebrate a Halloween classic, a third film is currently in development. Hocus Pocus 3 is officially in early development at Disney, with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy set to reprise their roles as the Sanderson sisters.

Hocus Pocus 2 director Anne Fletcher and writer Jen D’Angelo were attached to reunite on the threequel when initially announced in 2023, with D’Angelo commenting, “I’m hoping that we are able to explore every aspect of these stories and take these characters on a bunch of fun adventures. 3 is still very much in the early stages, we don’t really know what it is, but we’re exploring all options.”

The sequel is still in early development, though, so no word yet on whether Fletcher or D’Angelo are still attached. The Sanderson sisters aren’t going anywhere, though.

1993’s Hocus Pocus sees three 17th-century witches — Winifred (Midler), Sarah (Parker), and Mary (Najimy) — resurrected on Halloween to steal the life essence from the children of Salem, Massachusetts. The witches returned 29 years later in Hocus Pocus 2, with three high school students tasked with stopping the ravenous sisters from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallows’ Eve.

The folks at HBO Max have clearly been paying attention, as the streaming giant’s social media accounts recently posted a cheeky crossover video imagining what it might look like if some of their most beloved characters encountered Kane Parsons’ adaptation of the infamous Creepypasta.

Featuring iconic characters like Tony Soprano and even the main duo behind Lanterns carefully rotoscoped into scenes from the A24-produced film, the video is obviously meant to promote the fact that Parsons’ movie is finally streaming on HBO Max.

However, I’d argue that the main highlight of the video was seeing True Detective‘s Rust and Marty briefly investigating Clark’s freaky mural from the movie, as I’d personally love to see a new season of the show tackle a mystery steeped in liminal horror.

Backrooms has been streaming on HBO Max since September 25th, and an exclusive edition of the flick’s 4K Blu-Ray is now available on A24’s online shop.

Dougherty, director of Trick ’r Treat, Krampus, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters, has launched SAM: THE SOUL OF HALLOWEEN, a new creative home for the pint-sized trickster!

The launch tonight, on the eve of October 1st, coincides with a month-long run of festival and independent theater screenings of the newly restored 4K edition of Season’s Greetings.

The new Sam: The Soul of Halloween website and social channels will give Sam an official home of his own for the very first time.

What can you expect from this new era of all things Sam?

Just in time for spooky season, new original Sam content will be released across his website and social channels, including animated shorts, illustrations, artist collaborations, merchandise and other bite-sized glimpses into Sam’s peculiar corner of Halloween.

Dougherty invited a growing roster of talented artists to interpret Sam through their own creative voices. As a result, Sam will wander through wildly different styles, mediums and imaginations.

“Trick ’r Treat obviously became a huge part of Sam’s story, and I remain incredibly proud of that film,” says Dougherty. “But Trick ‘r Treat wasn’t the first chapter in Sam’s story, and it won’t be the last. It really started with this weird little hand-drawn animated short I made as a film student. And for the 30th anniversary, it felt like the perfect time to go back to those roots — handmade, independent and artist-driven — and see where Sam might wander next.”

October’s releases will include new Sam art, animation, and short films from Mike Baird, Breehn Burns, Sam Furst, Richard Garcia, Cyrus Haley, Austin Pardun, Alexander Ray, Steven Rhodes, Ryan Sawyer, Christopher Shy, Trent Shy, Christopher Waltemate and Michael Ballif. Additional surprise collaborations will be revealed throughout the month.

The launch also marks the debut of the official Sam online shop, featuring exclusive limited-edition merchandise created specifically around Dougherty’s original animated incarnation of Sam.

The first batch of releases will include T-shirts, posters, pins, stickers and other art, with additional apparel and merchandise planned. Many pieces have been created in collaboration with the same artists who helped expand Sam’s mythology, allowing individual interpretations of the character to move from screen and page into collectibles.

Throughout 2026, a newly restored 4K edition of the 1996 animated short Season’s Greetings has returned to the big screen at genre festivals and special screenings around the world, introducing the original film — and the original Sam — to a new generation of audiences.

That theatrical anniversary homecoming continues throughout October, with Season’s Greetings screening at over thirty festivals and independent theaters including Screamfest in Los Angeles, the Texas Theatre in Dallas, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival in New York, the Music Box Theatre in Chicago, the Gardena Cinema, the Vancouver Horror Show, the Knoxville Horror Fest, the Frida Cinema in Santa Ana, Revue Cinema in Toronto, Telluride Horror Show in Colorado, the Myers House N.C., FilmQuest in Utah, and Sleepy Hollow Cinema — with additional screenings to be announced.

“What surprised me most was how alive Sam and his debut film still felt thirty years later,” Dougherty says. “People who grew up with Sam were bringing their kids. Artists were reaching out wanting to make things. Fans were showing up in costumes. It started feeling less like looking backward and more like opening a door into a new chapter.”

John Goblikon, the wisecracking goblin frontman of the metal band Nekrogoblikon, stars in No One Survives, a new horror-comedy series featuring Clayton Farris (Weapons), stand-up comedian Ali Macofsky, Christian Pierce (The Real Bros of Simi Valley), viral sensation Jason Rodelo, and more.

Blending dark comedy, horror and practical effects, No One Survives follows John Goblikon as he attempts to navigate the everyday frustrations of human life. Unfortunately, when you’re a goblin, even ordinary problems have a tendency to take a killer turn.

The series was created and executive produced by Dave Rispoli (John Goblikon), filmmaker Brandon Dermer (I’m Totally Fine), and Nekrogoblikon’s Alex Alereza. The new series expands the world of John Goblikon, a character who has grown far beyond the stage since first appearing with Nekrogoblikon. John also hosts The Right Now Podcast with John Goblikon through All Things Comedy, which recently surpassed 100 episodes.

Coinciding with the launch of No One Survives, Nekrogoblikon has re-recorded and released the song that inspired the series’ title, “No One Survives,” now available on all streaming platforms.

Barrymore again gets a call from her old pal Ghost Face in the Chase commercial. Only this time, the man behind the mask is Kevin Hart. And he’s not interested in slicing and dicing.

Ad Week previews, “The campaign’s release precedes the 30-year anniversary of the first Scream movie. In the ad, Barrymore receives a phone call, mirroring the famous opening scene of the 1996 film. This time, however, the masked caller only has good news: that she had earned cash back with Chase Freedom, the financial company’s cash back credit card program.”

“It felt right to go big with this one,” said Wittney Rachlin, general manager at Chase Freedom. “We’re also celebrating the addition of new benefits to the Freedom Flex card, so we need to make that impact. When something from your past suddenly shows up in a new way, it gets a reaction. People want to talk about it, trade memories and share it with someone who will instantly get the reference. A horror short from director Cameron Dodd, The Cat and the Hatchet is a twisted horror parody of The Cat in the Hat. The film follows two siblings, Ellie and Connor, whose boring day takes a terrifying turn when Scratches the Cat shows up at their house. What begins as a strange and unexpected visit quickly becomes a nightmare as Scratches reveals a twisted sense of humor that is far more sinister than anything Ellie and Connor could have imagined.

Inspired by Ice Nine Kills’ The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood albums, the series pairs the band’s love of horror with five films that have helped define the genre. Each screening will also feature a custom introduction from Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas before the film, followed by the band’s corresponding music video inspired by the feature.

“It’s a bloody honor to present this selection of modern horror classics with the mighty AMC Theatres and our friends at Bloody Disgusting. Metal music and marquee movie mayhem. What more could we ask for this October?” says Charnas.

“Welcome to Horrorwood” takes over Friday and Tuesday nights at AMC throughout October, with all screenings beginning at 8 p.m. local time. For Halloween weekend, THE CROW will be featured as the Friday night title on October 30, and returns for a special Halloween night screening on Saturday, October 31.

This world is hand crafted for folks who love their lore deep and their horror both visceral and psychological.”

Pacific has joined forces with notable artists including Trevor Henderson (Siren Head), Eduardo Valdés-Hevia, Ben Counter, Nic Boone, Trevor Roberts, and Hannah Schooner to build out the world of American Abyss and the Palmyra Exclusion Zone, with each artist contributing their own tales, artwork, and bringing their unique sensibilities to this monster-filled world.

This is where the story of American Abyss begins…

Palmyra is a small city on a peninsula in northern Michigan. For most of its history it has been a sleepy tourist town. But in the early months of 2027, the ATF and DHS planned to raid the headquarters of an extremist right-wing militia known as the Liberty Lions. Sympathizers in local law enforcement tipped the Lions off and what followed was a bloody shootout with dozens of casualties on both sides. Following this violent clash, a city-wide evacuation began, but before it could resolve Palmyra was hit by a second disaster: The Flash.

Late one evening, the night sky filled with bright streaks of light “… as if the stars were cascading down from the heavens.” Just as quickly as it came, the light vanished, leaving behind only confusion. The remaining citizens tried to flee the city, but were quarantined before they could escape.

Now, over 100,000 people are trapped within the city. The fighting between the Feds and the Lions is ongoing. And, following the Flash, strange things have started creeping out of the rubble in Palmyra. Temporal anomalies, paranormal events and strange creatures from diseased citizens to floating ‘flesh cubes’ haunt the city in ever greater numbers.

Everything in Palmyra is awful, and no one is safe. And yet, the people stranded here have found refuge in their local communities. Survivors band together, trade amongst themselves, and navigate their new surroundings. Meanwhile the Feds and the Lions maneuver through the bullet-riddled streets, profiteers offer dubious promises of escape, and a few hardy souls search for the truth behind the Flash, the Lions, and the strangeness.

The original Ghost Face Vodka launched in February with a sold-out box set and is now continuing that momentum onto retail shelves.

It was the website Berkeleyside that originally reported the story that sent us all into a tizzy, but it seems we weren’t being told the full story. Tippett Studio closed out the weekend with an official statement to make one thing perfectly clear: this is NOT the end of the company.

While it’s true that Phil Tippett’s longtime Berkeley facility is indeed being shut down, the full statement makes it clear that Tippett Studio will continue to operate beyond that point.

The statement explains, “We have recently decided to evolve our physical footprint and production approach, and to exit our longtime Berkeley facility. As we make this transition, Tippett Studio continues its visual effects and animation work across film, television and entertainment. Our operations in Canada also continue, including our Toronto studio, which is currently in active production on a large feature film.”

“Stop-motion remains an important part of our creative capabilities, but maintaining a large permanent physical footprint is no longer necessary for our current requirements,” the statement continues. “When projects require dedicated stages, fabrication, motion-control photography or other specialised physical infrastructure, we will work with appropriate external facilities to meet the needs of each production.”

“As we move forward, we remain focused on the work ahead, continuing to collaborate with our clients, creative partners and artists on current and upcoming productions.”

Phil Tippett is the visionary behind some of cinema’s most iconic characters such as Jabba the Hutt and the Rancor Monster in Return of the Jedi, the Tauntauns and Wampa in The Empire Strikes Back, the Raptor and T-Rex stop motion puppets in Jurassic Park, and the ED-209 from RoboCop.

He won an Oscar in 1994 for his work on the original Jurassic Park.

Food Beast has revealed this afternoon that Pabst Blue Ribbon has joined forces with the Jason Universe for a limited edition 12-pack of PBR beer emblazoned with Jason’s iconic mask.

The outlet details, “Pabst Blue Ribbon is teaming up with Horror Inc. for a limited-edition Jason Voorhees collaboration that turns its 12-pack packaging into a wearable version of the slasher icon’s hockey mask. You can cut the mask out of the box or, apparently, throw the whole damn 12-pack over your head and be IG photo dump ready.”

“Along with the wearable packaging,” Food Beast continues, “fans can expect a collection of Jason-themed apparel, glassware, koozies, tap handles, tackers, and bobbleheads.”

The campaign rolls out in stores in September and will run through November 13, with Food Beast noting that some stores will get standees, and some bars will even get Jason tap handles.

The house had been in Savini’s family for nearly a century now, with the multi-talented actor, director and effects artist having lived there as a child before later using it as a headquarters for his effects work and extensive horror collection (which includes irreplaceable props and artifacts from several eras of film history).

That’s why the fire wasn’t just a huge blow for Savini himself, but for the horror community as a whole.

There is a Silver Lining to the situation, however, as effects artist Jason Baker has started a GoFundMe campaign meant to help the 80-year-old Savini and his family get through this troubling time without breaking the bank with temporary housing, cleanup costs and the replacement of personal belongings.

The fire also destroyed many priceless pieces of Tom’s life and history, including family heirlooms brought over from Italy and iconic props from Tom’s illustrious career.

Baker writes, “The damage was severe. Thankfully, Tom and his wife were not injured, but their two beloved cats, Max and Bruce, were tragically killed. This was not just a house—it has been Tom’s home base for 80 years, and it has been in Tom’s family for almost a century. For Tom, this loss is deeply personal and far beyond the damage to the building itself. This is a traumatic situation for anyone to endure at any age. It has been especially difficult for Tom being a senior citizen 80 years old.”

The campaign is currently a fifth of the way through its $50,000 goal and can be accessed through this link.

Also in celebration of the iconic film’s 50th Anniversary, the long-awaited score album is now available for the very first time in any format. 

The score is, of course, unlike any other. As Waxwork details, Hooper and Bell’s OST is an “experimental exercise in music composing and performance that utilizes non-traditional instruments such as suspended cymbals, aluminum saucepans, a children’s toy percussion set, various wildlife calls, whistles, shakers, and more.”

While there are multiple formats available currently, including cassette and CD, the picture disc deluxe set is now available to preorder for an October release and features fiery-orange handpoured colored vinyl Picture Discs.

Here’s the catch, though, the picture disc preorder is only available for the next 24 hours.

McDonald’s is partnering with Hello Kitty creator Sanrio and Toho Co., the owner of Godzilla, to launch a limited-time Happy Meal combining both franchises for the first time ever. The collaboration arrives at all US locations on August 18.

McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director Guillaume Huin shared the first teaser for the exciting partnership on August 10, calling it “one of the best collections of Happy Meal toys I’ve ever seen” and “Hall of fame collectibles in the making.”

The meal arrives just as Godzilla prepares to stomp back into theaters this November with the release of Godzilla Minus Zero.

Get ready to collect them all, as the lineup features adorably cute Sanrio characters cosplaying as iconic Toho monsters.

Cheetos has partnered with Blumhouse, horror’s definitive studio across film, TV, games, and live experiences, to bring flavor and fear together in an unexpected new way with the upcoming release of The Flavor of Fear, brand new Cheetos Sweet Phantom Heat flavored Puffs.

A countdown clock has popped up on the internet this week, with the unique Cheetos x Blumhouse collaboration set to launch in 35 days… just in time for the Halloween season.

Dexerto reveals a bit more about the collab this afternoon.

The website explains that the terrifyingly tasty Sweet Phantom Heat Puffs are a “limited time snack designed to fizz, tingle and even leave your mouth feeling numb.”

Dexerto details, “the new Cheetos begin with a sweet cinnamon sugar flavor before the heat gradually takes over. The puffs were inspired by compounds found in Sichuan pepper, creating tingling, fizzing and numbing sensations that become more noticeable as people continue eating.”

The website Delish previews in an early review of the upcoming snack, “The sweet and spicy work together really well, and at first bite, you only get those cinnamon sugar notes. The longer I kept it in my mouth, I did notice a very subtle fizziness. Then the heat builds and builds, finally having you breathe fire. But for some reason, I just kept going back for more.”

This year’s event sees Art the Clown arriving on the Universal Studios Backlot with his blood-soaked bag of presents in tow. But when he realizes he’s too early for Christmas, he hijacks the Terror Tram to start a ho-ho-horrific holiday tradition all his own.

Ice Nine Kills will officially score the experience, putting a dark twist on classic Christmas songs.

It marks a reunion, as Ice Nine Kills previously teamed with the Terrifier team on “A Work of Art,” the band’s official song from Terrifier 3.

“We are forever honored that Terrifier writer/director Damien Leone and his team invited us to play in their sandbox of bloodshed. Art himself, David Howard Thornton, killed it in the ‘A Work of Art’ music video, and we’ve had Damien and several of his cast members at our Silver Scream Cons every year so far. Halloween Horror Nights is among our favorite destinations each season, and our fans love it, too. This is yet another natural step forward in our unnatural world of horror,” frontman Spencer Charnas said in a statement.

While the Terror Tram is exclusive to Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort guests can encounter Art the Clown, along with the Killer Klowns from Outer Space, in scare zone Downtown Clowntown.

Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights at Universal Orlando Resort from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, November 1, and at Universal Studios Hollywood from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1.

Variety reports this week, “New Jersey entertainment and retail center American Dream will open a real-life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location in East Rutherford, N.J., in 2027.”

“The immersive restaurant experience is a functional reimagining of the game’s location, designed in collaboration with IP holder ScottGames,” Variety’s report explains.

The quick-service experience will feature arcade games in addition to food, along with two animatronic stage shows: Freddy and the Fazbear Band, and Pirate Cove with Foxy the Pirate.

“The only way this experience succeeds is if it’s created by a team that knows Five Nights at Freddy’s inside and out,” said American Dream’s Atreyu Alcantar. “The animatronic show has to be authentic. The food has to be high quality. And above all else, we’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza – we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.”

Alcantar adds, “This experience will immerse longtime fans in the world they’ve imagined for years while welcoming an entirely new audience to discover it for the first time.”

The Five Nights at Freddy’s property was created by Scott Cawthon, with the franchise growing to include video games, graphic novels, novels, and of course, two hit feature films.

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is the central location of the property, where animatronic characters including Freddy Fazbear come to life to murder anyone who dares spend the night.

“Cute meets kaiju,” the fast food chain’s official account reads today, teasing a unique Happy Meal event that’ll unite Sanrio with Toho.

The accompanying video shows a Happy Meal sailing the ocean in a tiny boat as a massive kaiju rises from the water behind it. The kaiju? A Hello Kitty wearing a Godzilla headpiece.

McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director Guillaume Huin shared the first teaser on August 10, calling it “one of the best collections of Happy Meal toys I’ve ever seen” and “Hall of fame collectibles in the making.”

Huin confirmed that the Happy Meal collab and its toys are coming to the US, but no other details have been revealed as of yet. That includes which monsters are joining Godzilla on this collab.

Recent Happy Meal takeovers have included Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 and KPop Demon Hunters.

The meal arrives just as Godzilla prepares to stomp back into theaters this November with the release of Godzilla Minus Zero.

• The 12 Slays of Christmas, the Bates Motel redecorated as a Christmas party Art crashes, ending in a chainsaw showdown with a Snow Angel version of Sienna Shaw.
• Art’s Christmas Cafe, where a Maitre D Art and his sous chefs plate holiday horrors alongside a Christmas Ham and a Christmas Turkey.
• Hell for the Holidays, a blacklight zone at the War of the Worlds set full of Clockwork Orange-style evil snowmen.
• Santa Art Is Coming to Town, where Art and the Little Pale Girl shoot down Santa’s sleigh with a World War II flak gun, surrounded by Jack Frost, the Snow Queen, a Christmas Death Angel, and toys escaped from Santa’s workshop.
• Art’s Workshop, a gingerbread house on the outside and a gory parts shop on the inside, its doors labeled dismemberment, decapitation, and disembowelment, where Santa’s corpse is taken apart.

The film, a box office sensation that scared up $488 million to become the highest grossing horror movie of the year, will be featured at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood this year.

Obsession isn’t getting a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights this year, to be clear, but actors dressed up as Nikki Freeman will be roaming around Universal Studios.

Halloween Horror Nights Creative Director John Murdy previewed at Midsummer Scream last night, “Nikki’s out there somewhere. You kind of have to get into a ‘Where’s Waldo?’ mentality. She’s out there somewhere and she might be looking for her next obsession.”

Murdy also noted at the event last night that Obsession was a very last minute addition to Halloween Horror Nights this year, but they rallied the troops and were able to make it happen.

Halloween Horror Nights is typically planned out far in advance of the event each year, but when a movie like Obsession releases halfway through the year and becomes a bona fide pop culture sensation, well, it’s safe to say it was a mad scramble for the HHN team.

Could this set the stage for a full-on Obsession haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights in the future? Next year, perhaps? We’ve got a feeling that’s a very strong possibility…

Fan-favorite creature feature host Larry Kurtzberg (better known as H.R. Bloodengutz) is back in the original new house H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular! Discover Universal has unveiled a sneak peek at the Halloween-themed terror in story.

Halloween Horror Nights show director Ramón Paradoa previously gave Bloody Disgusting the scoop on this sequel house to 2011’s H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror, teasing the horror host’s return to WKNB Television Station for a final Halloween Special of gruesome proportions.

“What I’ll say about that without giving too much away is that there are seven movies that we’re presenting as scenes in the haunted house; seven movies that are a part of the marathon. Some of those movies are callbacks to HHN’s past,” Paradoa explained.

A Halloween Fright-Tacular! will take guests through multiple different visions of the holiday: “Once we knew that the holiday of Halloween and the world of horror cinema was our playground, we knew that there was a lot to tap into,” Paradoa said. “There are so many different Halloween-based tropes that people know and love. We were really inspired by that, and we wanted to make sure that when you’re being transported into the worlds of these movies, although they have the throughline of Halloween, they’re all completely unique from each other. That they all have a very distinct feel, and they present environments and characters that again, are rooted in what you’d expect out of classic Halloween textures, but are different from each other.”

The new images give a glimpse at some of the scenes guests will step into, from monochromatic visions of terror to a ghoulish Tiki oasis.

This year’s Halloween Horror Nights event begins on Friday, August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Tickets are on sale now.

This fall, Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens crosses into dangerous territory with the introduction of two all-new haunted houses inspired by the Sony Pictures movie, Anaconda.

While some stories stay on the screen, these slithering haunts pull guests inside…

Set in the world of Anaconda, guests are sent deep into the Amazon to search for a missing film crew, quickly turning into a fight for survival. At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, guests will experience Anaconda: Fear Has No Escape and at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, visitors will encounter Anaconda: Dead on Arrival.

The haunted attractions offer two unique tales while honoring the legend of an iconic film. The all-new Anaconda inspired houses will premiere on September 11 at both parks.

Making its terrifying debut during this year’s Howl-O-Scream events at all three parks, the immersive experience invites guests to step beyond the screen and into a nightmare where every secret has a price and every corner hides the vengeful Fisherman. The all-new haunted houses premiere on September 11 at all three parks.

Based on the first installment of the iconic horror franchise licensed by Sony Pictures, I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch is a haunted house version of the 1997 hit. Guests will wander through horrifying recreations of several unforgettable movie scenes and into the events that unfold during the original Southport massacre. The movie, and the haunted houses, tell the story of a group of friends who desperately attempt to hide a deadly accident, but their shared secret awakens a killer determined to make them pay.

Now, SeaWorld guests will become part of that terrifying story.

The arrival of I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch marks a major addition to SeaWorld’s award-winning Howl-O-Scream events, where guests can experience elaborate haunted houses, immersive scare zones, sinister live entertainment, themed bars, and the most adrenaline-pumping coasters in the dark.

SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Diego guests can take advantage of the limited-time Killer Summer Sale, with savings of up to 65% on Howl-O-Scream tickets and up to 70% for Pass Members. It’s the fourth year for this stunt spectacular, themed around the Blumhouse horror franchise, which made its debut at the seasonal event in 2023.

The show centers around a race against time when a politician and his entourage escape to an island to avoid The Purge. Sanctuary is fleeting when the island is quickly overrun by Purgers and the hunt is on. Located in the WaterWorld venue and featuring adrenaline-filled action sequences, stunts, spectacular lighting and laser effects, high-fall fire burns and massive explosions, The Purge: Dangerous Waters celebrates an evening of anarchy without thought of punishment or fear of retribution.

The announcements for Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights are still being rolled out, including this year’s Terror Tram and original houses.

A variety of Halloween Horror Nights ticket options for Universal Studios Hollywood are now available.

This year’s event runs for a record 42 nights with 8 haunted houses, Terror Tram, multiple scare zones and more. Tickets include General Admission, the Early Access Ticket, which provides entry to select haunted houses beginning at 5:30 p.m. (subject to change), Frequent Fear Pass and Ultimate Fear Pass, which enable guests to experience the scares again and again. The Day/Night Ticket, After 2 P.M. Day/Night Ticket, Universal Express Ticket and R.I.P Tour will all include access to the new “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” coaster.

The Jason: Blood Reign haunted maze is coming to select Six Flags parks this Fall!

The official social media announcement tags the Six Flags Great Adventure, Kings Island, and Carowinds parks, so it’s safe to assume Jason is coming to all three of those locations.

What else does Jason Voorhees have planned in the remainder of 2026? The Jason Universe team recently promised, “We have a thrilling lineup of new projects that we can’t wait to share more details on soon.” Those projects of course include “Crystal Lake,” the new Friday the 13th prequel television series from A24 that will premiere on Peacock on October 15.

If that sugar high isn’t enough, you can shop the Boo-dega for all kinds of twisted tasty treats for your Summerween celebrations. This event starts at 5 p.m. PST.

A few hours later — and right next door — The Mystic Museum (3204 W Magnolia Blvd) will host an afterparty for its 21+ fans featuring dancing, frozen frights, a costume contest, killer photo ops, a mini-bar with film-themed drinks, exclusive merchandise, and plenty of frigid surprises. This party begins at 8 p.m. PST and requires a ticket.

Written by Roth and longtime friend Noah Belson, Ice Cream Man is set in the idyllic summer town of Bayleen Bay, where sheer terror ensues as an ice cream man serves up sweet delights — with horrifying results.

Ari Millen (“Orphan Black”) stars in the titular role along with Benjamin Byron Davis (Red Dead Redemption), Karen Cliche (Thanksgiving), Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), and Charlie Storey.

Snoop Dogg — who’s also working with Roth on Don’t Go in That House, Bitch — is contributing music to the film, along with composer Brandon Roberts (Thanksgiving).

The prosthetic makeup effects are handled by Oscar winner Adrien Morot (The Whale, Thanksgiving) and Steve Newburn (Frankenstein, Thanksgiving).

Ice Cream Man is Executive Produced by Grammy-winning rap icon Nas.

It’s worth noting that Roth’s Ice Cream Man has nothing to do with the ’90s movie starring Clint Howard. A sequel to that film, however, has been trying to get off the ground for years.

The addition of Jason marks another major horror franchise joining Hellbreak‘s expanding universe, which already includes several Universal Monsters properties such as Dracula and The Bride of Frankenstein, as well as A Quiet Place, Jaws and more.

“From the start, Hellbreak was built to bring together the icons that define the genre, and it simply wouldn’t feel complete without Jason,” said Doug Wadleigh, Spin Master’s President of Toys. “His addition to the first set marks a major milestone for the game and for fans who have been waiting to see these legends collide.”

Developed in collaboration with Ghost Galaxy,  Hellbreak is a horror trading card game where the gameplay revolves around the idea of a “Monster Sandbox,” an arena in which fan-favorite characters from horror history fight to the bitter end. Angry Orchard Hard Cider joins forces with the Scream franchise this Halloween, launching a limited release “Thriller Pack” of hard cider featuring a brand new Ghost Face flavor!

Releasing in August, the Thriller Pack from Scream and Angry Orchard features 12 cans of hard cider in total, with four different flavors that each feature fun Halloween names.

The full lineup includes…

• Caramel Apple Curse
• Headless Pumpkin
• Blood Orange
• Mystery Caller

It’s the Mystery Caller can that’s particularly special for Scream fans, as the can is emblazoned with the iconic Ghost Face mask. The mask is also featured prominently on the packaging for the Thriller Pack, which glows in the dark to make the mask pop even further.

No word yet on what the “Mystery Caller” flavor actually is, however.
