You may remember the Alamo… but sure as hell not like THIS.

Just about one year ago, a man by the name of Fabrice Mathieu impressed the hell out of us with his “Hollywood Zombies” short film, wherein he took clips from various Hollywood films and gave them an undead makeover, presenting a faux movie wherein a meteor strikes Hollywood and turns all the biggest stars into flesh-eating monsters.

Now, Mathieu is back with “Far Alamo,a brand new short that again uses seamlessly-blended clips from existing movies to create something entirely new. This time around, Mathieu imagines the heroes from your favorite classic Westerns doing battle with the bugs from Starship Troopers, and holy shit is the edit pitch perfect and totally epic.

In a blast from the past, developer atooi will release today Dementium: The Ward for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The first-person horror shooter originally got its start on the Nintendo DS back in 2007, before making its way to the 3DS in 2015, and finally landing on the Switch last October.

The PlayStation version of Dementium offers up “crunchy retro” and revamped HD display modes (presumably, this is similar to the free update the Switch version received last year), and has been “built from the ground up for the big screen”. Obviously, the game will lose its touchscreen capabilities from the Nintendo consoles, but will still run at a silky 60 frames per second.

Dementium: The Ward centres around William Redmoor, a man with amnesia, who wakes up in a seemingly abandoned medical ward. He soon finds out that he’s not quite as alone as he initially thought, as demonic creatures are roaming the hospital. Equipped with a flashlight and a nightstick, William must not only fend off the creatures, but also solve puzzles and find the exit and escape.

No word on if the sequel, Dementium II (which was also originally released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS), will be given the same treatment.
