ALICE IN CHAINS Announce North American Tour, Teaser Video for ‘Your Decision’
Alice in Chains have announced dates for a North American tour set to kick off at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver on February 2nd. Tickets go on sale December 4th and 5th. The band is touring in support of its critically acclaimed new album BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE (Virgin/EMI), which entered Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart at No. 5, with first-week sales exceeding 126,000 copies.
They band also just released a trailer for their upcoming video, “Your Decision.” The clip features William DuVall, Mike Inez, Jerry Cantrell, and Sean Kinney dressed in suit and tie. The band teamed up once again with Director Stephen Schuster, who also did the video for the song “A Looking In View.” The video premieres on iTunes December 1st.
In other news, Alice In Chains recently released a Black Gives Way To Blue iPhone app, which features full songs from the album, music videos, news, photos, social networking and much more. The app separates itself from the pack with an impressive level of interactivity; its custom-built functionality allows fans to interact with each of the album’s 11 tracks via a touch, drag and hold feature that reveals hidden visual gems. Seminal slasher Scream rewrote the rules in 1996, and for its 30th anniversary, Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings are celebrating with a new anniversary reissue of Marco Beltrami’s landmark score.
The original 14-track album returns to vinyl in a collectible “blood-soaked” sleeve on August 28.
If blood red isn’t your color, there’s good news: the reissue will also be available in many different limited-edition exclusive pressings.

Marco Beltrami composed the iconic score as a then young, up-and-coming composer—one who, ironically, had never scored or even seen a horror film.
Yet just three years after he completed the University of Southern California’s rigorous scoring program, Beltrami submitted 13 minutes of music for Scream’s opening sequence and his future was forever changed. “We knew in half a minute that we had found our composer,” Craven told Variety in 2012. “The music was haunting, beautiful and totally original. Marco turned out to be shy and soft-spoken, but a fountain of ideas and innovation. I never looked back.”
