on

San Francisco’s VEIL VEIL VANISH will be launching a quick East Coast tour to showcase tunes from their recently released and critically-acclaimed full-length debut, Change in the Neon Light on Metropolis Records. Named as one of Radio Free Silverlake’s ‘Bands to Watch in 2010’, the band blend atmospheric darkwave-tinged rock with grand pop hooks that make for an enthralling live experience. The band is also prepping the unveiling of their new video for the single “Change in the Neon Light” which will be in the next few weeks (more info soon!).

Currently playing assorted dates on the West Coast, Veil Veil Vanish will be embarking for the East Coast, with a DJ set at NYC’s Home Sweet Home on June 16th to ease into their live shows, which begin the next day at Brooklyn’s Coco 66.

The scheduled dates are:
Jun 05 Milk Bar (San Francisco, CA)
Jun 06 Shoreline Amphitheatre – Live 105 (Mountain View, CA)
Jun 16 Home Sweet Home – DJ Set (New York, NY)
Jun 17 Coco 66 (Brooklyn, NY)
Jun 18 The Pill @ Great Scott (Boston, MA)
Jun 19 Polaris (Philadelphia, PA)
Jun 20 Lit Lounge (New York, NY)
A departure from their critically-acclaimed EP Into the New Mausoleum, which enveloped the band in a shimmery haze, the new album propels the band forward into new and more dynamic territory. From the intense staccato of “Modern Lust” to the plaintive shimmer of “Pharmaceutical Party Platform” to the propulsive drum front of the title track, their first full-length LP Change in the Neon Light is rife with percussive rhythms and hooks, enveloped in swaths of layered guitars. The first single “Anthem for a Doomed Youth,” is an exquisite darkpop gem that has just been released as a maxi-single via the Metropolis Records website and includes the album version, three remixes of the track and “Modern Lust.”
First making their mark with Into a New Mausoleum and performing sold-out shows with A Place to Bury Strangers, Cold Cave, No Age, Holy F*ck, Celebration, among many others, Veil Veil Vanish quickly established themselves with heavy touring, national radio play on stations such as Live 105 and Indie 103, and prime spots on SF’s NOISE POP Festivals in 2008 and 2009. Cementing themselves even further with their inclusion on The Cure tribute album Perfect as Cats alongside Bat for Lashes, Dandy Warhols and The Muslims (a.k.a. the Soft Pack) among others, the band has been building and cultivating their fanbase and winning over critics.

After appearing in Rob Zombie’s music videos and movies over the years, Sheri Moon Zombie (The Devil’s Rejects) has now released her own debut single and music video, I Love My Robot. The video, which you can watch below, was directed by husband Rob Zombie.

The track playfully takes a jab at the use of Generative AI in the arts.

The official press release details, “Helmed by acclaimed producer Zeuss and accompanied by a video directed by Rob Zombie, the track blends retro sci-fi, playful camp, and infectious hooks into an irresistibly offbeat anthem that is unmistakably Sheri.

“Tongue-in-cheek and surprisingly timely, I Love My Robot offers a witty take on life in an increasingly algorithm-driven world. Beneath its infectious energy and B-movie charm, the song celebrates imagination, individuality, and the simple joy of thinking for yourself.

“It’s a playful reminder that while technology may make life easier, nothing can replace genuine creativity or human connection.”

A limited edition picture disc vinyl featuring “I Love My Robot” on Side A and Rob Zombie’s “Sir Lord Acid Wolfman” on Side B is now available for pre-order. Only 600 copies are being released worldwide, and it’ll be available on October 30, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records.
