Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody To Record Voice Work For Dolor: Lila

Bloody-Disgusting contributor and pal Rick Florino has tapped Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody to record voice work for the upcoming audio book version of Dolor: Lila (Book 1). Florino has also announced the upcoming release of The Dolor Saga: Books I – V, which feature the previously unreleased books Decker and Cassie. The book is slated for release on May 5th, but Florino will be reading selections from the book Tuesday, March 22 from 8pm-11pm at The Hollywood Corner in Los Angeles (1156 N. Highland Ave.).

Here’s a comment from author Rick Florino: “This new release finally fleshes out the intricacies and mythology of the town itself. The connections between each individual diary become clearer and the web of intrigue at the heart of Dolor slowly comes into focus. The characters cycle in and out, but the darkness, fear, anxiety, and evil all remain key elements in each story. Psychologically, Dolor exists in the space between the heinous things people do in real life and the unknown evil we fear in nightmares and that may or may not exist. The text is streamlined. Certain nuances have been changed, so Dolor readers will get a new experience in Books I-III in addition to two new books. This is the trip that I always meant for Dolor to be, and it’s only the beginning.”

Musician Charli xcx, who’s fresh off an appearance in this year’s new Faces of Death movie, is next joining forces with another legendary name in horror: David Cronenberg!

Charli xcx took to social media this afternoon to preview her upcoming album Music, Fashion, Film, which is now up for pre-order on various formats and releasing July 24.
