Eli Roth on the Past, Present and Future of ‘Cabin Fever’
In Eli Roth’s groundbreaking 2003 horror film Cabin Fever, a group of five college graduates rent a cabin in the woods and begin to fall victim to a horrifying flesh-eating virus, which attracts the unwanted attention of the homicidal locals. Arriving on Blu-ray today is a newly restored “Director’s Cut” release of the film, courtesy of Lionsgate Home Entertainment. To celebrate the re-release, we caught up with Eli Roth to talk about the new cut, reflect back on the film and look forward to the future of his film career (there’s so much going on!). More than just an inside look at filmmaking via low-budget film studio The Asylum, it doubles as one man’s pursuit of his dreams to charming, humorous effect.

We get to meet the characters and creators of some of the most infamous (and most hated) B-movies of the last few decades. But Mockbuster isn’t just about filmmaking, it’s about losing sight of your dreams, and reclaiming them in your own twisted way,” Director Anthony Frith said in a statement.
From Executive Producer and famed documentarian David Farrier, Mockbuster opens in select theaters and on digital platforms beginning July 10.
